KANE @ 538 stage

Radio 538 organiseert dit jaar opnieuw een feestje. Het Koninginnedagspektakel in Amsterdam is ook dit jaar weer LIVE te volgen via het internet. Radio 538 zal ook dit jaar met een groot podium bezit nemen van het Museumplein in Amsterdam, waar tussen 12 en 22 uur een groot aantal artiesten, waaronder KANE optreden. Het Koninginnedagfeest is live te volgen via www.Radio.NL
Het spektakel op Koninginnedag op 30 april is dit jaar voor het eerst ook op tv te zien bij RTL5. Het feestje op het Museumplein in Amsterdam is 'niet live' te volgen op televisie maar alleen als samenvatting. 10 uur lang zullen een groot aantal artiesten optreden in Amsterdam. De samenvatting wordt in slechts één uurtje samengevat tussen 23.00 en 0.00 uur bij RTL 5 door EliZe en 538-deejay Frank Dane. Het Koninginnedagfeest op het Museumplein is hier LIVE in hoge kwaliteit en lage kwaliteit kwaliteit te volgen. Dutch radio 538 will have a party today. The Queensday celebrations in Amsterdam are, for those who can't attend this year, being broadcasted live on the internet. Radio 538 showcases the entire day the best artists, amongst them KANE , on stage on the Museumplein in Amsterdam. The Queensday party is going live on www.Radio.NL
Next to the live-feed Dutch viewers of RTL5 get a chance to watch a report of the performances. The report is on RTL5 tonight between 23u00 and midnight and will be presented by Dutch singer EliZe and radio 538-deejay Frank Dane. De twee belhamels Ben - we lovvvve you Ben - en Thibaut van het radio Donna programma Stereo spécial kregen eerder deze week Dinand en Dennis over de vloer. Hoe dat afgelopen is werd gisteravond in hun programma uitgezonden. Naast een gezellige babbel kregen de Stereo spécial luisteraars ook de nieuwe KANEsingle 'Shot of a gun' te horen, een eigen versie van Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' in de mix met 'Rain down'.

Busy in Belgium…

Ben - we lovvvve you Ben - and Thibaut, or the two most sexy radio host in Belgium, of radio Donna show Stereo spécial invited Dinand and Dennis on to their show earlier on this month. How all that went down was broadcasted yesterday evening. After a nice chat the guys performed their new single 'Shot of a gun', played a very own interpretation of the Gnarls Barkley song 'Crazy' ending with a shortened version of 'Rain down'.

KANE @ 3FM Awards

De 3FM Awards worden morgen, zaterdag (26 april), weer uitgereikt. Dit jaar zal het feestje doorgaan in The Factory in Amsterdam. Awards worden uitgereikt aan onder meer de Beste Band, Beste Zanger, Beste Zangeres, Beste artiest Pop, Beste artiest Rock, Beste artiest Alternative, Beste single, Beste album, Beste live act, Serious Talent en Beste nieuwkomer. Naast het Leidse trio Kraak & Smaak zullen ook de volgende artiesten optreden: Anouk, KANE , Moke, Krezip, Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark en Racoon.
De uitreiking van 3FM Awards is één van de hoogtepunten van het Weekend van de 3FM Awards. Vrijdagmorgen (25 april) vanaf 06.00 uur tot zondagavond 27 april 18.00 uur draait 3FM 100% muziek van artiesten van Nederlandse bodem.
Heb je geen ticket voor de Awards show in Amsterdam dan kan je het gebeuren toch live volgen vanuit bijv. je luie sofa thuis want op Ned3 kan je van 21u10 tot 22u25 meegenieten van de stars on stage en host of the evening Giel Beelen, Eric Corton en Sander Lantinga.

KANE in the morning

Vanochtend brachten Dinand en Dennis een bezoek aan de Qmusic studios te Vilvoorde. Dj's Deckers & Ornelis vroegen zich af waar KANE al die tijd geweest was en wat de plannen waren voor 2008. Dat was duidelijk: Belgie veroveren, een showcase hier en daar spelen (misschien Marktrock doen) en vooral heel veel genieten. Een fotoverslag van het bezoek aan Qmusic staat nu al op de Deckers & Ornelis website ; update --- de audiofiles ( een paar prachtige akoestische nummers, een quiz -sooo funny - en een interview ) staan nu ook online.

Early this morning Dinand and Dennis were invited to the Deckers & Ornelis morning show on Belgian radio Qmusic. Both dj's were wondering what happened to KANE - as they were a bit out of sight for the past months - and what the guys would be up to in the near future. The answer was determined: conquer Belgium, play a showcase here and there (maybe get on the Marktrock stage) and enjoy every minute of it. A photo report of their visit has already been put on the Deckers & Ornelis website ; update --- the audiofiles ( a couple of kick ass acoustic tracks, a quiz - sooo funny - and an interview with the guys ) are now online as well.

KANE is coming…

Na gisteravond het Paard ondersteboven gerockt te hebben... hebben Dinand en Dennis nauwelijks tijd om er van bij te komen... want de KANE trein is op stoom en is gelijk al weer door naar Belgie.
Morgen zullen de heren van KANE live in de studio van Q-Music bij de ochtendshow van Deckers & Ornelis zijn. Vanaf 7.30 uur worden zij betrokken in het programma en zullen ze een aantal akoestische nummers spelen en geïnterviewd worden.
--- update: En ook een bezoekje aan de studios van JIM tv staat op de agenda (thnx JIM Guru!); meer over dit bezoek op deze website over enkele dagen. Verder zijn de heren 2 dagen in Brussel en Antwerpen om de Belgische pers te woord te staan. Kortom; KANE is coming to Belgium! .

After rocking the het Paard venue last night... both Dinand and Dennis hardly take time to relax... because their KANE train is going on full speed and heading for Belgium.
Tomorrow the guys will appear live in Q-Music radio studios at the Deckers & Ornelis morning show. From 7u30 they'll be a part of the show, play some acoustic songs and do an interview with the hosts of the show.
--- update: A visit to the JIM tv studios is added to the KANE agenda (thnx JIM Guru!); more on this visit soon te be found here. Next on the agenda are two days to spent in Brussels and Antwerp to get the Belgian press excited about their new album. In other words; KANE is coming to Belgium! .

Dennis belemmert nummer 1 voor KANE

Gelezen op de site van Gerard : De 'Ticket for Tibet'-benefietsingle 'Als je ooit eens terug kan' komt maandag binnen op de eerste plaats van de Single Top 100. De opbrengst van de single, waar onder anderen Kane-gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen aan meewerkte, gaat volledig naar drie Tibetaanse nonnen die zes jaar vastzaten in een Chinese gevangenis na het zingen van een protestlied tegen de Chinese overheersing van Tibet. De single is uitgebracht namens de organisatie van het festival Ticket For Tibet, dat zondag plaatsvindt in Amsterdam.
Op de tweede plaats in de Top 100 komt Kane binnen met hun nieuwe single 'Shot of a gun' . Daardoor ontstaat de rare situatie dat een single met Kane-gitarist Van Leeuwen een nummer-1 positie voor Kane belemmert.

Dennis takes the number one spot

Read on the site of Haags Pop Podium : The single for the Dutch 'Ticket for Tibet' festival 'Als je ooit eens terug kan' makes a spectacular entrance at the number one spot in the Dutch Single Top 100 on Monday. All proceeds of the single, on which amongst other artist KANE guitarist Dennis van Leeuwen collaborated, are going to three Tibetan nuns who were taken prison in a Chinese prison for 6 years after singing a protest song against the Chinese domination of Tibet. The single has been released by the organisers of the Dutch 'Ticket For Tibet' festival which will be in Amsterdam this Sunday.
KANE enters the Dutch Top 100 on the number two position with their new single 'Shot of a gun' . And so we get a unique situation where a single on which KANE guitarist Van Leeuwen collaborates takes the number one position and his band, which were going for gold once again, has to be satisfied with the number two position.

Via onze KANEpromoladies myspace kregen we van Dorien (niet onze maar een van onze myspace vriendinnetjes) deze mail: wou toch even meedelen dat deze morgen in de ochtendshow van Deckers & Ornelis op Q-music gezegd werd dat KANE volgende week vrijdag (25 april) te gast is in de Deckers & Ornelis jukebox .
Dat word dus weer vroeg opstaan voor de heren uit het Noorden en de Belgische fans 'Catwalk criminal' en 'Shot of a gun' in een mooie akoestische set te schenken… wij kunnen al niet wachten om op te staan met KANE ;)

Gelezen in de Telegraaf : Na Matthijs van Nieuwkerk en Ruud Gullit is het nu de beurt aan Dinand Woesthoff . De zanger mag één mannenglossy op de markt brengen. Woesthoff laat weinig los over de inhoud van de eenmalige uitgave, maar laat wel weten dat hij onlangs naar Madrid is gevlogen voor een interview. "De mensen die ik tot nu toe heb gevraagd willen allemaal graag meewerken", vertelde hij tijdens een interview met Ruud de Wild . "Het wordt helemaal te gek." Dinand becomes an editor

Read in Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf : Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and Ruud Gullit already did it and now it's Dinand Woesthoff turn. The lead singer of KANE gets the chance to be chief editor of his own magazine. Woesthoff doesn't share much about his magazine but did tell us he made a trip to Madrid for an interview. "Those who I already asked to collaborate on the magazine are very enthusiastic ", the singer mentioned in an interview with Dutch radio dj Ruud de Wild . "It's gonna be wicked." You can listen to the interview (in Dutch) Dinand had with Ruud on this link . The magazine will be available in Dutch stores from May.

KANE OP KONINGINNEDAG

Radio 538 organiseert ook dit jaar een groot feest op koninginnedag. Voor de achtste keer op rij staat het landelijke radiostation Radio 538 op het Amsterdamse Museumplein op woensdag 30 april van 12.00 tot 22.00 uur met een groot aantal topartiesten. Daarnaast zijn ook diverse deejay's van Radio 538 aanwezig, zoals Edwin Evers, Jeroen Nieuwenhuize, Lindo Duvall en Barry Paf.
Dit jaar betreden onder andere KANE , VanVelzen, I.O.S, Krezip, Gerard Joling, Nikki, Mêlee, Leaf, The Opposites en Alain Clark het podium. Alle optredens op het Museumplein zijn live te volgen via Radio 538. Ook is 's avonds om23.00 uur een compilatie van het Koninginnedagfeest te zien op RTL 5, gepresenteerd door Radio 538 DJ Frank Dane en zangeres EliZe.
Het feest wordt ieder jaar op het Amsterdamse Museumplein gehouden en trok vorig jaar bijna 300 duizend bezoekers. De line-up is nog niet compleet en de rest van het programma wordt binnenkort bekendgemaakt. Voor meer info kijk op de Radio 538 website.

KANE on the radio 538 stage

Like every year Dutch Radio 538 will organize a huge party on Queens day in Amsterdam. For the eight time now party people can go nuts at radio 538 party stage on the Amsterdam Museum square on Wednesday the 30th of April from 12:00 until 22:00 to the beats of some well-known musical artists. In addition several dj's of radio 538 like Edwin Evers, Jeroen Nieuwenhuize, Lindo Duvall and Barry Paf will make an appearance that same day.
This year performing artists on the 538 stage are KANE , VanVelzen, I.O.S, Krezip, Gerard Joling, Nikki, Mêlee, Leaf, The Opposites and Alain Clark. All performances from the Museum square stage will be broadcasted live on radio 538. At night there a chance to (re)view the performances as Dutch channel RTL 5 will screen a compilation show which will be presented by radio 538 DJ Frank Dane and singer EliZe.
This party is an annual celebration on the Amsterdam Museum square and is known for its huge capacity in party people (last year there were nearly 300.000 counted). The line-up isn't fully set yet, more names to be announced soon. For all info check the Radio 538 website.

Ze hadden het beloofd en ze houden ook woord… KANE zal deze zomer de Belgische (festival) podia onveilig maken met EVERYTHING YOU WANT . De eerste datum is al bekend: op vrijdag 1 augustus zal KANE op het Lokerse feesten festival staan. Tickets zijn NU al te koop via deze link . Kane, Moke en Krezip treden op tijdens de uitreiking van de 3FM Awards 26 april in The Factory in Amsterdam. Dat heeft 3FM maandag meegedeeld. Vorige week maakte de popzender al bekend dat Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark en Racoon spelen op het jaarlijkse radiofeest. De 3FM Awards zijn de jaarlijkse radioprijzen voor de beste Nederlandse popacts en artiesten, gekozen door de luisteraar. Sinds 29 maart zijn 139.480 stemmen uitgebracht. Stemmen op de genomineerden kan nog tot en met vrijdag 25 april 12.00 uur via www.3fm.nl . De presentatie van de 3FM Awards is in handen van Giel Beelen, Eric Corton en Sander Lantinga. Het programma wordt live uitgezonden op 3FM, de VARA doet verslag voor televisie.

Dutch bands Kane, Moke and Krezip are to perform during the radio 3FM Awards show on the 26th of April at The Factory in Amsterdam. Radio 3FM announced this today. Only last week the radio station announced that Dutch bands Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark and Racoon were scheduled to perform on their annual awards show. The 3FM Awards are the annual radio awards for best Dutch pop acts and -artists, chosen by the listeners of 3FM. From the 29th of March up until now the website of 3FM registered 139.480 votes. Votes can still be send in on the website until 12.00 o'clock Friday the 25th of April on the website www.3fm.nl . 3FM dj's Giel Beelen, Eric Corton and Sander Lantinga will host the 3FM Awards. The show is being broadcasted live on radio 3FM and on Dutch channel VARA.

Op de KANE hyves staat een nieuwe update van Dinand:
…tja… en dus zitten we hier in de morgen en gaan we op naar de 30 uur geen slaap, maar die cd afmaken hier in Manhattan. Twee jaar zijn we met onze bezigheidstherapie aan de slag gegaan; we zouden er wijzer uitkomen zei de dokter. Of dat zo is weet ik niet, maar wat zijn date en geode 2 jaar geweest! Dan nu een uurtje of 2, mag ik hopen, verwijderd van wat voor de Benelux de cd gaat zijn, is wat vreemd. Lekker vreemd. Vermoeiend vreemd ook.

Dinand wrote a new update on the KANE hyves about laying the final hand on the new album 'EVERYTHING YOU WANT', the release of the new single 'SHOT OF A GUN', the Dutch and Belgian tour and a photoshoot they're gonna cancel due to the lack of sleep.
