Tonight viewers of music channel TMF Belgium got a chance to watch Shot Of A Gun as it was on screen for the first time in the show Spankin' new videos . Viewers of TMF Belgium now know they'll get a chance to text their appreciation for the clip soon on the show Rate the video and will be able to vote for it on the daily Top5 clip show.

De 3FM Awards Stembus is geopend! De 3FM Awards zijn de jaarlijkse radioprijzen voor de beste Nederlandse popacts en -artiesten, gekozen door jullie, de 3FM luisteraars. Dit jaar is KANE weer genomineerd en wel in de categorie 'beste band' en categorie 'artiest rock'. KANE try-out tour

Met de release van het nieuwe album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT ' en het concert van KANE in de KUIP in het verschiet, heeft de band onlangs besloten een try-out tour ter voorbereiding op het concert in de KUIP te organiseren.
Daarvoor heeft KANE op verzoek van de vele fans besloten om verschillende podia in Nederland aan te doen. "De speciale one-off in het Paard van Troje op 23 april aanstaande bleek namelijk in zo'n razendsnel tempo uit te verkopen dat deze tour gewoonweg niet achterwege kon blijven", aldus zanger: Dinand Woesthoff. De try-outs vinden oa plaats in Paradiso, het Patronaat en de Mezz, kijk voor de volledige lijst op onze Tourdates pagina
De kaartverkoop van de try-out tour begint aanstaande zaterdag om 10.00 uur. De voorverkoopadressen zijn te vinden op de websites van de desbetreffende locaties. Daar is te zijner tijd ook meer informatie te vinden over de aanvangtijden van de verschillende concerten. Kaartjes kosten 25 euro per stuk plus servicekosten.
Het album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT' is vanaf vrijdag 9 mei verkrijgbaar.

KANE on tour in Holland

With the release of the new album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT ' and the KANE concert at de KUIP venue in a few months the band decided to do a try-out tour in order to be ready for their smash out concert at de KUIP.
At the request of several of their fans KANE decided to try-out at different venues in Holland. "The exclusive one-off try-out at the Paard van Troje venue on the 23th of April was sold out in a mather of hours so it was clear to us we had to go on a little tour", according to lead singer Dinand Woesthoff . The try-outs are - amongst other venues - at Paradiso, Patronaat and the Mezz, check out the Tourdates page for the full location list.
Ticket sales for the try-out tour kick off this Saturday at 10:00 local time. Check the venue websites on our Tourdates page where you'll be able to find more info in time. Tickets will cost 25 euro each except service costs.
The new album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT' will be in stores from Friday the 9th of May.

TMF SHOWCASE

Gelezen op de site van Gerard :Ter promotie van de nieuwe CD EVERYTHINGYOUWANT zal Kane in mei of juni een concert geven voor kijkers van de televisiezender TMF. Kaarten voor de showcase worden via www.tmf.nl en in het programma 'Re:action' weggegeven. Daarnaast kunnen mensen kaarten winnen door al voor 6 mei de nieuwe CD te bestellen bij de Free Record Shop .
Als tweede single van het album wordt het nummer 'Shot of a gun' uitgebracht. Dat nummer is deze week Megahit op Radio 3FM, Alarmschijf op Radio 538 en Superclip op TMF .

Read on the site of Gerard : Dutch music channel TMF will showcase an exclusive KANE concert as promotion for their new album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT somewhere in May or June. Tickets for this showcase can be won on the website www.tmf.nl or on the Dutch show 'Re:action' . If you order the new KANE album before the 6th of May at Free Record Shop there's also a chance you'll win tickets for this exclusive showcase.
The second single from the new KANE album is titled 'Shot Of A Gun'. The track is currently Megahit on Dutch radio 3FM, Alarmschijf on Radio 538 and Superclip on Dutch music channel TMF.

Shot Of a Gun première…

Op de eerste dag van de lente ging Shot Of A Gun in première via de Nederlandse radiostations 538, Q music en 3FM… Shot Of A Gun is de tweede single uit het nieuwe KANE album dat EVERYTHINGYOUWANT is gedoopt en dat ergens midden mei in de handen van duizenden fans zal vallen. Dinand ging bij de drie radiostations op bezoek om de nieuwe single te promoten… luister via deze link , of deze link om het interview met Ruud de wild te (her)beluisteren en deze link en/of deze link om het interview met Giel te (her)beluisteren.

EVERYTHINGYOUWANT title new album…

On the first day of Spring Shot Of A Gun was launched on the three major Dutch radio stations 538, Q music and 3FM… 'Shot Of A Gun' is the second single taken from the long awaited new KANE album which is baptised EVERYTHINGYOUWANT and which will find its way into the hands of thousand fans somewhere in the month of May. This month there's an interview with the guys from KANE to be found in Dutch online magazine Bomvol in which they talk about their favourite cities. Whether it's NY where their new album was recorded or hometown Delft where their own studio has its location, each city has got that special thing the guys need to be creative and at ease …
Unfortunately the interviews are in Dutch but you might get the vibe of the cities who are totally KANE-approved as you watch the guys talking about them…

BACK ON TRACK WITH ANOTHER FUNKY RHYME

…en dus is er weer wat aan de hand in het land …Vanochtend smeet Dinand een update op de KANE hyves:
Ik moet zeggen; Gelukkig wel, maar het is een gek proces deze keer. Wij werken de hele tijd op minimaal 2 verschillende plekken tegelijk aan onze nieuwe plaat. Dat was vooral New York en Delft. Afgewisseld met Ibiza, Los Angeles, Londen en… bij mij in de tuin ha, ha. Ja, life is tough. Momenteel hebben we hier bij ons thuis een studio in het tuinhuis gebouwd. Dennis werkt in onze studio in Delft. Het is dus alle zeilen bijzetten, maar het lijkt erop dat we het gaan halen. Lees de hele update op de KANE hyves …

which means there's some mayhem going on

Dinand wrote a new update on the official KANE hyves :
Gotta say good for the mayhem, but it's some crazy shit this time. We're working in at least two different places at the same time on the new album. Primarily New York and Delft alternated with Ibiza, Los Angeles, London and… my back yard ha, ha. Ja, life is tough. At the moment we've got a studio build in my garden shed. Meanwhile Dennis is hard at work at the Delft studio. So everybody's working like nutters but it seems like we'll make our deadlines. Consequence of that is we're all in our own little worlds these days. Totally focused on details and o fuck… got to finish those lyrics today. Once and a while we're pulled back into the reality of the KANE bizznizz. Like deadlines, designs, releases… and ticket sales.
I'll get back to that in a minute. First let's talk releases. The next KANE single will be 'SHOT OF A GUN'. We shot the video for that single last week in Los Angeles and Brussels. In a few weeks you'll get it in your face. We're extremely happy with the reactions on our first release 'CATWALK CRIMINAL'. YouTube got over 125.000 views in 1 month and with an entry at number 2 in the charts we made a cool start I think. Like always, very sincerely, Thanx to and for your support!!! Heading to 'SHOT OF A GUN' followed by... that fourth KANE cd. I'm in to deep to talk to much about it but it's hard when you've got 45 songs and knowing there will be only 12 songs on the album. 'Kill your Darlings'. I'm getting emotional now ha, ha.

De maxi single bevat ook de club mix van Catwalk Criminal. In de internationale DJ scene is de track goed opgepakt. Nu eindelijk ook op CD te verkrijgen. De video van Shot Of A Gun is ook voor op je iPod Video. Gewoon slepen en klaar… Track 2, de YouTube mix, is speciaal voor fans om te posten en embedden via YouTube op je eigen blog (Hyves, MySpace en Facebook).

Dennis and Tibet

Gelezen op de website van Gerard : Gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen van de Haagse rockband Kane is een van de muzikanten die meewerken aan een speciale single om aandacht te vragen voor Tibet. Het nummer heet 'Als je ooit' en is een aangepaste Nederlandstalige versie van 'As ge ooit' van JW Roy en Gerard van Maasakkers. Aan de opnamen wordt verder meegewerkt door Peter Slager en Bas Kennis (van Bløf), Bart van der Weide (Racoon), Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), JW Roy, Loten Namling en Jeroen Goossens. De single moet nog voor het festival Ticket for Tibet, op 20 april in Amsterdam, uitkomen. Onder anderen Bløf en Racoon treden daar dan op.
Sinds 1950 wordt Tibet bezet door China. Onder leiding van de hoogste religieuze en politieke leider van Tibet, de Dalai Lama, vecht de bevolking al jaren voor onafhankelijkheid. Meer info hierover kan je vinden op de Ticket for Tibet myspace , de Save Tibet myspace en www.tibet.com

raising awareness…

Read on the website of Gerard : Guitarist of Dutch rockband KANE, Dennis van Leeuwen , will participate on recordings of a special single released to raise awareness for Tibet. The track 'Als je ooit' is an adapted Dutch version of 'As ge ooit' of JW Roy and Gerard van Maasakkers. Also working on the recording are Peter Slager and Bas Kennis (from Dutch band Bløf), Bart van der Weide (Racoon), Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), JW Roy, Loten Namling and Jeroen Goossens. Try-out KANE

Woensdag 23 april a.s. is het zover: dan vindt de enige echte try-out voor het nieuwe album plaats! De bandleden van KANE komen op deze datum speciaal samen om de nieuwste nummers van het aankomende album ten gehore te brengen. Daarnaast zullen een paar van hun allerbeste klassiekers voorbij komen. Voor deze one-off is speciaal voor het Paard van Troje te Den Haag gekozen, want waar anders dan in de favoriete poptempel in eigen stad wil je deze primeur hebben?! Wees er snel bij, want er zijn slechts een paar honderd kaarten voor dit unieke optreden te verkrijgen.

On Wednesday the 23th of April it's finally time for the exclusive try-out gig for KANE's long awaited new album! The guys from KANE and their band will perform the brand new tracks along with some of their best classic songs. For this one off the guys chose the Paard van Troje venue in The Hague, Netherlands seeing it's their favourite venue. Want to be there? Then you'd better be quick because only a few hundred ticket will be available for this exclusive gig.
