Elk jaar zendt het landelijke radiostation CITY FM de Classic Top 1000 uit. Naast classic tracks van U2 en Queen staat ook KANE in de lijst en wel met 'Hold on to the world' op nr. 991, 'My best wasn't good enough' op nr. 868, 'Rain down on me' op nr. 804 en 'Where do I go now' als hoogst genoteerde op nr. 621…
Ook in radio Veronica's Download Top 750 staat KANE een aantal keer genoteerd en wel met 'Let it be' op nr. 554, 'Damn those eyes' op nr. 474, 'I will keep my head down' op nr. 437, 'Can you handle me' op nr. 396, 'Where do I go now' op nr. 266 en als meest gedownloade 'Rain down on me' op nr. 109…

KANE in Classic Top 1000 and Download Top 750

Just like last year Dutch radiostation CITY FM broadcasted its Classic Top 1000. Next to classic tracks of the likes of U2 and Queen we can find some KANEtracks in this countdown as well. We found 'Hold on to the world' at nr. 991, 'My best wasn't good enough' at nr. 868, 'Rain down on me' at nr. 804 and 'Where do I go now' as the highest entry at nr. 621…
And at Dutch radio Veronica's Download Top 750 countdown we can find some KANEtracks as well. KANE topfavoriet line-up Artquake

Ik riep jullie vorige maand nog op om KANE in de line up van het Artquake festival 2008 te stemmen. En jullie hebben gestemd want vandaag krijgen we per mail bericht dat de heren van KANE topfavoriet zijn! In een maand tijd zijn er meer dan 500 stemmen binnengekomen bij de organsiatie van het festival. Topfavoriet is dus KANE maar ook oa. Anouk, Krezip en de Heideroosjes zijn populair bij de stemmers.
Misschien word dit de eerste keer KANE op Artquake (na een valse start eerder wegens ziekte van Dinand), de organisatie gaat alvast druk netwerken om dit te realiseren en zal de volledige line-up in het voorjaar bekend maken…

KANE voted most wanted in line-up Artquake

Only last month I asked you guys to vote for KANE for the line-up of the Artquake festival 2008 . Seems you guys did what the lady asked for because today we received an email stating KANE is voted most wanted for the line-up for the festival! The festival received over 500 votes over the past month. Most wanted act is KANE but Anouk, Krezip and de Heideroosjes are a few of the other favourites.
Maybe this will be the first set on the Artquake festival for KANE, seeing last time they had to cancel due to Dinand being ill. It's now up to the festival to get the guys on stage and get rocking. In springtime we'll know the final line-up…

Belgian KANEfansite-connection…

Niet alleen de webstek van de mannen van KANE heeft een opgemerkte transformatie ondergaan ook de fansite Drawingkane.be van de 17 jarige Lisa uit België is gerestyled! Een nieuwe kick ass layout, een volledige biografie, discografie en handige medialinks verwennen de bezoekers die meer willen weten over de band maar ook actief via internet hun favoriete groep willen steunen…
Lisa's doelstelling is duidelijk: ze wil met haar fansite KANE helpen in het buitenland. Door bijvoorbeeld een Be_Page te creëren probeert ze -nieuwe- Belgische fans kennis te laten maken met de mannen want op deze pagina kan je al het nieuws over KANE in België terugvinden. En nu het duidelijk is dat België in 2008 meer dan voorheen op KANE's agenda staat is dat heel erg goed nieuws! Lisa... van ons alvast proficiat avec le nouveau drawingkane.be en we zien je snel bij KANE!

Not only the official website of KANE made a remarkable transformation, the fansite of the 17 year old Lisa from Belgium Drawingkane.be got a total restyling as well! A new kick ass layout, an up to date band biography and discography to indulge the visitors who want to know more about the band and some usefull medialinks added to the site for them who want to support their favourite band online…
Lisa's goal is clear: In using her fansite she wants to help the guys from KANE get more noticed abroad. She created a special Be_Page because she wants -new- Belgian fans to get updated on all the recent KANEnews from her country, Belgium. Via onze twitter liet Gill ons weten dat Dennis een bezoekje gebracht heeft aan de 3 FM dj's in het Nederlandse glazen huis. Hij was daar niet alleen voor de gezelligheid, hij kwam ook een VIP-arrangement voor het KANE concert in de Kuip op 28 juni beschikbaar stellen voor de Serious Request veiling …Check het Serious request fotoboek op deze pagina voor de foto's van Den's bezoek en een klein filmpje en kijk op deze pagina voor alle info rond het KANE in de Kuip VIP-arrangement.

Last night Gill gave us a shout out on our twitter that Dennis had paid a visit to the 3 FM dj's who are staying in the Dutch glass for the Serious Request campaign. Next to just being a sociable guy and visiting the guys Dennis also donated a VIP-arrangement for the KANE concert at the Kuip on the 28th of June for the Serious Request auction . 'Catwalk criminal' tegelijk in première op radio, TV en internet

Gisteren kon je het hier al lezen en vandaag staat het op de site van het Haags Pop Podium :
'Catwalk criminal', de nieuwe single van KANE , gaat 1 januari gelijktijdig in première op radio, televisie en internet.
"Het nummer is een goed voorbeeld van waar Kane nu staat", zegt zanger Dinand Woesthoff . "Het is sexy, stijlvol, het rockt en 'it makes you wanna dance'." Gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen : "Mensen die al wat van ons nieuwe werk gehoord hebben, zeggen allemaal: 'Je hoort hoeveel plezier jullie hebben.' Dat vind ik heel tof, want dat is precies wat we wilden bereiken."
Kane geeft 1 januari - vlak na de jaarwisseling - een miniconcert in Rotterdam. Dat optreden is dan live te zien op Veronica televisie. De single 'Catwalk criminal' ligt vanaf 21 januari in de winkels…

We updated the news yesterday but now it's official and can be read on the website of the Haags Pop Podium :
'Catwalk criminal', the new KANEsingle , will be released simultaneously on the radio, television and the internet on the 1st of January.
"the track is a good reflection of the state of mind of kane nowadays", according to lead singer Dinand Woesthoff . "It's sexy, classy, it rocks and 'it makes you wanna dance'." Guitarist Dennis van Leeuwen : "People who already got a chance to listen to some of our new material all say the same thing: 'it's obvious you guys are having fun.' That's pretty cool to me, because that's exactly what we wanna achieve"
Kane will perform on the 1st of January - immediately after the turn of the year - in Rotterdam. This performance will be broadcasted live on Veronica television. The single 'Catwalk criminal' will be in stores from the 21st of January…

Af en toe krijgen we een glimp te zien van wat de mannen van KANE zoal doen dezer dagen: Bram van de fansite screamkane vond tijdens het online surfen gisteren een paar sfeerfoto's van Dinand, Dennis en producer Scott Jacoby die in de opnamestudio The Clubhouse ehm… 'druk bezig' zijn.
Ook opgemerkt door aandachtige fans: de officiële bandsite www.kane.nl is sinds vandaag omgetoverd tot een countdown pagina die de release van de nieuwe single 'Catwalk criminal' - vanaf 1 januari 2008 gooien ze hem op de radio en hij is te vinden in de winkelrekken vanaf 21 januari van dat jaar - net dat tikkeltje spannender maakt… Sexy in da house was het he ;)

Once and a while we get a chance to catch up on what those guys from KANE are up to: Bram from the fansite screamkane stumbled upon some snapshots from Dinand, Dennis and producer Scott Jacoby doing 'some stuff' at The Clubhouse recording studio while he was surfing the net yesterday.
Meanwhile we got word that the official site of the band www.kane.nl has been transformed into a count down page that only heats things up concerning the release of the new single 'Catwalk criminal', which will be launched on the 1st of January 2008 on the radio and will be on sale from the 21th in your local record stores… sexy in da house right ;)

KANE haalt de Radio2 Top 2000

Dorien riep jullie vorige maand via onze websites nog op om KANE de lijst der stemmen - de Radio2 Top 2000 - in te stemmen et voila: they made it baby!!!! 'Rain down on me' staat voor de aller aller eerste keer in deze lijst mooi op nr. 908 te blinken en dat…dat is een goed gevoel!
Heb je trouwens een verhaal bij dit nummer dan kan je dat op de site van de Top 2000 neerschrijven, kijk voor meer informatie op deze link . Vanaf woensdag 26 december kan je op Radio2 de Top 2000 beluisteren tot de jaarwisseling…

Last month Dorien asked you guys on several of our websites to vote for KANE for the most prestigious list of them all, the Radio2 Top 2000 . And booyah: they made it to the list! 'Rain down on me' is featured for the very first time in this list on number 908 and that feels pretty awesome!

Classic rock 1000 - vote for KANE!

Vanaf aanstaande maandag kun je weer genieten van de enige rocklijst die er toe doet; de Classic Rock 1000 op CITY FM ! Vorig jaar stond Led Zeppelin met 'Stairway to Heaven' bovenaan de lijst en KANE stond met 2 singles in de lijst en wel op nr. 791 met 'rain down on me' en op nr. 767 met 'Where do I go now'. Natuurlijk staan Dinand & Co ook dit jaar weer in de keuzelijst met maar liefst 13(!) nummers. Klik op deze link en breng gauw je stem uit. Als je dit jaar je favoriete classic nummers naar de CITY FM redactie stuurt maak je elke dag kans op een digitale camera of op een gitaar t.w.v. 1.500 euro! Dit jaar staat 3FM Serious Request 2007 in het teken van water. Schoon water! Het is van levensbelang, maar voor ruim één miljard mensen ter wereld niet vanzelfsprekend!
Vanaf volgende week woensdag 19 december tem maandag 24 december maken de 3FM dj's Gerard Ekdom, Michiel Veenstra en Rob Stenders non-stop radio vanuit het glazen huis op het Plein in Den Haag voor Serious Request. Almost time for the Serious Request and Music for life campaigns!

This year Dutch radio 3FM Serious Request 2007 campaign focuses on water. Clean water! It's of life value, but for over a billion people across the world it's simply not granted!
Starting from next week Wednesday the 19th of December until Monday the 24th of December the 3FM dj's Gerard Ekdom, Michiel Veenstra and Rob Stenders will lock themselves up and broadcast non-stop radio for Serious Request from inside a glass house on the square in The Hague. Take a look at the Serious Request page how you can help the dj's, for instance by requesting your favourite KANEsingle or check all the info on the auction or activities on this campaign…
Belgian radio station Studio Brussel and the Red Cross organise during the same week as the Serious Request campaign at Dutch radio 3 FM their Music for life campaign. Just like the Serious Request campaign the emphasis here is on the polluted water issue. December is de maand van de eindejaarslijstjes op radio en televisie. En ook radio Veronica doet met de jaarlijkse Top 1000 Allertijden geen afbreuk aan deze traditie. Nog tot zaterdag kan je deze lijst der lijst beluisteren en ook die dag word de top 3 van deze lijst bekend gemaak. Naast U2, Golden Earring en Madonna staat ook KANE dit jaar weer meermaals in de lijst genoteerd: op nr 796 vinden we 'Where do I go now' (nieuwe in de lijst), op nr 204 staat 'I will keep my head down' (vorig jaar nog op 613) en 'Rain down on me' staat als hoogst genoteerde op nr 137 (vorige jaar nog op 175).

Traditionally December is the month of the best of countdowns on radio and television. And so radio Veronica broadcasts its annual Top 1000 this month. Up until Saturday listeners of radio Veronica can listen to the 1000 best tracks of all times. As well on Saturday the three supreme songs of the list will be revealed. Next to U2, Golden Earring and Madonna, KANE is featured several times in this countdown: on nr 796 we can find 'Where do I go now' (new entry), on nr 204 we spot 'I will keep my head down' (last year on 613) and 'Rain down on me' is their highest entry on nr 137 (last year on nr 175).

KANE in de Qmusic en Donna eindejaarslijst

Een aantal weken geleden riepen we jullie via onze websites op om KANE in de Q Greatest Hits Top 1000 te stemmen en sinds vrijdag weten we hoeveel keer en met welke nummers de band in deze lijst staat: Bij de Vlaamse Qmusic staat KANE op nr. 315 met 'Can you handle me' en van de fansite kaneruless weten we dat KANE bij de collega's van Qmusic Nederland met maar liefst negen liedjes in de lijst staat en wel met 'Rain down on me' op de 71e plaats (vorige jaar 121), op 86 staat 'Damn those eyes' (van 60), op 415 'Can you handle me' (van 234), op 605 'Before you let me go' (van 939), op 663 'Dreamer' (van 170), op 679 'So glad you made it' (van 956), op 705 'Let it be' (van 156), op 864 'Fearless' (van 335) en als laatste is 'Something to say' gezakt van 687 naar 999. Voor het derde jaar op rij staat 'Angels' van Robbie Williams bovenaan de lijst bij de Nederlandse Qmusic en was Bryan Adams' 'Summer of '69' de favoriet bij de Vlaamse Qmusic luisteraars. Ook de radio Donna dj's zijn sinds zaterdag aan het aftellen naar 2008 en doen dat live en met tonnen enthousiasme vanuit het Wijnegem shopping center met Donna's Top 2000. Zoals elk jaar kan je op de Donna site, die omgetoverd is tot Donna's Top 2000 countdown bij je lievelingstrack een verhaal schrijven. KANE in Qmusic and radio Donna best of the year countdown

A few weeks ago we asked you guys on our websites to vote for KANE in Q Greatest Hits Top 1000 and on friday we got the results of the countdown: at the Belgian Qmusic KANE made it with 'Can you handle me' on number 315 and we received some good news from the fansite kaneruless as well: KANE made it to the list of Qmusic Holland with a staggaring nine songs (read up on the details above).
The Donna dj's are counting down to 2008 since Saturday and they're doing so in the Wijnegem shopping center with Donna's Top 2000. And again we can find KANE in the list, this time with 'Rain down on me' on the number 824 spot. The Donna website is, just like last year, transformed in a Top 2000 countdown and you have the opportunity to write your story with your favourite song. If this happens to be KANE's 'Rain down on me', visit Donna.be and write your story down...…

Nacht van Donna's Top 2000

In de nacht van vrijdag 7 op zaterdag 8 december tovert radio Donna de Vlaamse zender Eén 10 uur lang om tot een heuse clipzender.
In de aanloop naar Donna's Top 2000, die op zaterdag 8 december om 15.00 u begint, kunnen de luisteraars van Donna tussen middernacht en 10 uur hun favoriete videoclips bekijken op Eén. Daarvoor maken ze 'live on demand' hun keuze op de website of via Eén Teletekst pagina 295. De Nacht van Donna's Top 2000 wordt gepresenteerd door de bekende Donna-gezichten. De DJ's van Donna worden dus voor één keer VJ's.
Iedereen kan zijn favoriete videoclip aanvragen. KANE staat twee maal in Donna's keuzelijst met 'Fearless' en 'Rain down on me'. Met wat geluk zijn deze twee clips s'nachts ook te zien in De Nacht van Donna's Top 2000…

Donna's Top 2000 night

During the night of Friday the 7th on Saturday the 8th of December radio Donna will transform Flemish TV-channel Eén into music television for ten hours.
Looking forward to Donna's Top 2000, which will start on Saturday the 8th of December on 15u00, listeners of radio Donna can request and watch their favourite video clips on Eén. They can chose their favourite clip 'live on demand' using the website or Eén Teletekst page 295. Donna's Top 2000 night will be presented by famous radio Donna-faces. The Donna DJ's will be Vj's for one night.
Everyone can request his/her favourite video clip. KANE is featured twice in Donna's list with 'Fearless' and 'Rain down on me'. With a bit of luck both clips will be featured in Donna's Top 2000 night…
