In de Telegraaf stond gisteren een interview met Dinand over het gedachtengoed achter Woezel en Pip en zelfs een kort filmpje met Dinand en een aantal bekende Nederlanders, waaronder Wendy van Dijk en Babette van Veen, die aan het nieuwe Woezel en Pip boekje hebben meegewerkt. Vanmiddag wordt, in aanwezigheid van Dinand en Babette van Veen, om 14u30 in de Bijenkorf te Amsterdam het derde Woezel en Pip boek en de baby kledinglijn gepresenteerd…

It's Woezel en Pip day!

The Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf also had an interview with Dinand on the launch of the Woezel en Pip merchandise today. In a short film on the internet page of this newspaper Dinand talks about how he was inspired by his deceased wife, Guusje Nederhorst, and his little son to write new material for the little cartoon characters. Also some of his fameous friends comment on the collaboration with him. Take a look at the film (in Dutch) on this link . Dinand binnenkort bij Pauw & Witteman

Op de fansite Kaneruless lezen we: Volgens een mailing bij de nieuwe Woezel en Pip boeken blijkt dat de lancering omgeven wordt door een flinke mediacampagne met onder meer voorleessessies met BN'ers, tv-commercials en interviews met Dinand . Zo is hij al in Boulevard geweest en zou hij volgens deze aankondiging binnenkort ook bij Pauw & Witteman aan tafel schuiven. Wanneer dit gaat plaatsvinden is nog niet bekend, maar wellicht is hij aanwezig bij de uitzending van komende maandag. Het programma wordt elke werkdag uitgezonden op Ned1 van 23:00 tot 0:00 en is ook terug te kijken via hun website …

Dinand pulls up a chair at Pauw & Witteman

On the fansite Kaneruless we can read the following: according to a mailing added to the release of the new Woezel en Pip books there's a lot in store for fans of the two little dogs. On the agenda are: Interviews with Dinand, TV commercials and famous friends of Dinand who will read extracts out of the books to young Woezel en Pip fans. Apparently Dinand is said to visit the Dutch talk show Pauw & Witteman as well. The exact date hasn't been confirmed yet, but the fansite thinks this will be during the show this Monday. The talkshow can be watched on the Dutch channel Ned1 every weekday from 23u00 until midnight. And in case you miss the show there's always a chance to review this on their website …

Donderdagmiddag had Menno van Qmusic een telefoongesprek met Dinand over de presentatie morgen, zaterdag 22 september om 14u30 , van het nieuwe Woezel en Pip boek en baby kledinglijn in de Amsterdamse Bijenkorf. Ter afsluiting van het gesprek gaf Dinand ook nog mee dat 2008 het jaar van KANE zal worden…you're all warned out there! Yesterday Qmusic dj Menno had a phone conversation with Dinand on the launch of the new Woezel en Pip book and baby clothing-line which will be launched tomorrow at 14u30 at the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam. In addition Dinand mentioned his band KANE wil own 2008...so, you're all warned out there! KANE comeback op TMF Awards?

Op de website van het Haags Pop Podium lezen we vandaag: Na een jaar stilte keert de Haagse band Kane op 27 oktober terug op het podium tijdens de uitreiking van de TMF Awards. Diverse websites, waaronder Sentimento.nl , melden dat Kane daar hun rond die tijd uit te komen nieuwe single zal spelen. Kane zelf heeft het optreden nog niet bevestigd. Wel is zanger Dinand Woesthoff te zien in een promotievideo voor de TMF Awards. Ook de Haagse band Di-rect speelt een rolletje in die commercial. Het nieuwe album van Kane wordt eind dit jaar uitgebracht. (…)

KANE comeback at TMF Awards?

Today we can read the following update on the website of the Haags Pop Podium : Kane will return to the stage after about a year of silence on the 27th of October during the TMF Awards show. Several websites, such as Sentimento.nl , report the exclusive performance of the new KANEsingle at these awards seeing its release is planned around that time. At this time Kane hasn’t confirmed this news yet. Lead singer Dinand Woesthoff however can be seen in a promotional clip for this Awards show as are the guys from Di-rect. Dinand Woesthoff onthult Woezel en Pip babylijn in de Bijenkorf

Zanger Dinand Woesthoff van de rockband KANE onthult samen met actrice Babette van Veen op 22 september as. een babylijn van de tekenfiguurtjes Woezel en Pip . Dinand doet dat in De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam zo meld het Haags Pop Podium Woezel en Pip was een creatie van Guusje Nederhorst, de in 2004 overleden vrouw van de Haagse zanger. De babylijn bestaat onder andere uit kleding, knuffels en rammelaars.Tegelijkertijd verschijnt ook een nieuw boek en een CD. Op het album worden liedjes over Woezel en Pip gezongen door Marco Borsato, Willeke Alberti, Rob de Nijs, Katja Schuurman, Babette van Veen, Herman van Veen, Chantal Janzen, Edwin Rutten en Dinand Woesthoff. Guusje Nederhorst is zelf ook te horen op de CD. Naast het boekje, de cd en de babylijn wordt ook nog steeds gewerkt aan een televisieserie en een theatervoorstelling over de belevenissen van Woezel en Pip.

Dinand Woesthoff unveils Woezel en Pip baby clothing-line at Bijenkorf

Lead singer Dinand Woesthoff from the rockband KANE will reveil the new baby clothing-line for the animation figures Woezel en Pip on the 22th of September in company of actrice Babette van Veen. Dinand and Babette will do so at the Bijenkorf in Amsterdam, as we can read on the Haags Pop Podium website Woezel en Pip was created by Guusje Nederhorst, Dinand’s wife who passed away in 2004. The baby clothing-line consists besides baby clothes of cuddly toys and rattles. At the same time there will be the launch of a new Woezel en Pip book and cd. On this new cd songs about Woezel en Pip will be sung by Marco Borsato, Willeke Alberti, Rob de Nijs, Katja Schuurman, Babette van Veen, Herman van Veen, Chantal Janzen, Edwin Rutten and Dinand Woesthoff. The voice of Guusje Nederhorst can even be heard on the album. Beside the book, cd and baby clothing-line there are still plans to launch a TV show and theatre play on the adventures of Woezel en Pip.

Binnenkort bij Musiqlub: KANE

Het nieuwe multimediale platform voor muziektelevisie Musiqlub dat op 3 september officieel online ging zal gauw KANE in het aanbod videoclips steken. Zo melden ze in een update over de plannen rond het nieuwe album op hun website . Hoewel de start op internet is, streeft men ernaar om op termijn (binnen een half jaar) ook via andere platforms zoals kabel, digitenne en satelliet uit te zenden. Hiermee wordt Musiqlub mogelijk een serieuze nieuwe concurrent voor MTV Networks, het bedrijf achter de zenders MTV en TMF. De content wordt voor het overgrote gedeelte (80%) gratis aangeboden. Voor uitzendingen van live concerten moet wel betaald worden. Musiqlub heeft een hoofdkanaal 'Qlub TV' met in eerste instantie vijf subkanalen: Pop TV, Urban TV, Dance TV, NL TV en Rock TV. Daarnaast is er de mogelijkheid om concerten live te zien of om deze live registraties later uit het archief te bekijken. Geregistreerde gebruikers hebben bovendien de mogelijkheid om persoonlijke kanalen (playlists) te creëren.

Soon at Musiqlub: KANE

The new multimedial platform for music television Musiqlub which went online earlier this month will soon add KANE to its clip-database. This was mentioned in an update on the plans on the new album on their website this week. Although the launch was on the internet, it's their goal to broadcast from other platforms as cable, digitenne and satellite. It's clear Musiqlub will become fierce competition for MTV Networks, the company behind the MTV and TMF channels. The overall content (80%) is free but in time users will have to pay to view live concerts. Musiqlub has got a main channel 'Qclub TV' with five sub channels: Pop TV, Urban TV, Dance TV, NL TV and rock TV. In addition users can view live concerts or check out past concerts from the archive. Registered users can create their own personal channels (playlists).

'September Special Sundays' bij City FM

Bij de classic rockzender City Fm in de Randstad zullen deze maand alle zondagen omgedoopt worden in 'September Special Sundays'. Dit houdt in dat elke zondag een ander thema centraal staat. Van gitaarsolo's tot de beste live tracks. Ook zal City FM terugblikken op de Classic Rock 1000 en de Nederrock 100…Komende zondag (9 september) zendt City FM nog één keer de 'Nederrock 100' uit. Tussen 9 en 17 uur zullen dan ook de beste rock classics van eigen bodem voorbij komen, waaronder natuurlijk KANE die op nummer 38 staan met 'Rain down on me' en op nummer 17 met 'So glad you made it' in deze lijst staan…Zondag 16 september is het tijd voor de beste live tracks. Elke zaterdagavond zendt City FM al de beste live concerten uit en heeft het ook een eigen themakanaal, maar voor één keer zullen de live tracks ook op zondag voorbij komen, aangevuld met informatie over de concerten. Suggesties voor livetracks (ehh KANE ofzo) kunnen doorgegeven worden via deze pagina …De één na laatste zondag (25 september) zal in het teken staan van de beste gitaarsolo's. 'September Special Sundays' on City FM

This month Sundays at City Fm will turn into 'September Special Sundays'. Which means that each Sunday will have its own theme as in guitar solo's or the best .. tracks. In addition City FM will recap on their Classic Rock 1000 and Nederrock 100 which they broadcasted earlier on this year…Starting on Sunday (the 9th of September) City FM will rerun the 'Nederrock 100'. Between 9 o'clock and 17 o'clock the listeners will hear the best rock classics from the Netherlands , amongst them KANE which single 'Rain down on me' we can find at number 38 in this list and 'So glad you made it' at number 17…On Sunday the 16th of September it's time for the best .. tracks. Suggestions for these ..tracks (ehh maybe KANE) can be sent to this page …On Sunday the 25th of September the radio station will showcase the best guitar solo's. Dinand schrijft in een update op kane.nl...2 weken geleden een paar avonden wezen stappen met Hans Klok in Vegas en nu al doen we verdwijntrucs hier op KANE.NL... En mijn fijne assistente is.... mmm... Pamela is best leuk van dichtbij. Hou deze site in de gaten, want binnenkort gaan we onszelf ook wegtoveren ha ha.Trouwens, bij nader inzien, die cover van de What If plaat van een paar jaartjes terug... Ik had zo met Hans mee gekund gaan naar Vegas... wel met Pamela natuurlijk.

KANE in onderhandeling met EMI

Op de website van ATproductions lezen we: Rockband Kane is in onderhandeling met EMI Music Netherlands. Eerder vandaag meldden verschillende bronnen dat de band en de muziekmaatschappij al tot een ondertekening van het contract zijn gekomen, maar zover is het vooralsnog niet. Beide partijen geven wel onomwonden aan er een heel goed gevoel bij te hebben. Frontman van Kane, Dinand Woesthoff: "We hebben ruim de tijd genomen om nieuwe muziek te schrijven en om ons te oriënteren op een platenmaatschappij waarmee wij een nieuw tijdperk in willen gaan, we doen alleen dát waar wij ons goed bij voelen. De gesprekken met EMI Music passen in dat beeld." Bart Cools, Managing Director van EMI Music: "Kane is een fantastische band met een indrukwekkende staat van dienst. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat EMI en Kane een goede match zijn en wij kijken erg naar de samenwerking uit." Kane's meest recente album Fearless kwam in 2005 uit en werd bekroond met de platina status. De band heeft sinds de oprichting meer dan 1 miljoen albums en dvd's verkocht. Momenteel werkt de populaire Haagse rockband aan hun langverwachte vierde (studio)album.

KANE negotiates with EMI on new record deal

Rockband kane are in negotiations with EMI Music Netherlands. Earlier on today several media-sources stated the band and the record company had already signed a hard to refuse record deal, but up until now this isn't the case. Both parties do admit to be interested in working together. Lead singer Dinand Woesthoff: "we've taken enough time to write new music and to chose a record company with whom we want to enter a new and exciting era, we're only in it if we feel good about it. And talks with EMI Music fit this vibe." Bart Cools, Managing Director at EMI Music: "kane is an amazing band with an impressive list of records. I'm convinced that EMI and kane is a good match and we're looking forward to working together." Kane's most recent album Fearless was released in 2005 and went platinum. The band has sold already more than 1 million albums and DVD's. Currently the band is working on the long awaited forth (studio) album.
