KANE DVD

Op de site van Gerard lezen we:
De DVD ‘Kane De Kuip Live’ gaat maandag 26 november in première tijdens een preview in muziekwinkel Fame in Amsterdam. Bandleden Dinand Woesthoff en Dennis van Leeuwen zullen dan samen met 175 fans de DVD gaan bekijken. Na afloop is er een signeersessie.
De registratie van het concert dat de Haagse band Kane op 28 juni gaf in de Kuip verschijnt in drie versies. Naast de gewone DVD (met zestien songs) en de CD (met dertien songs) verschijnt er ook een limited version met de DVD én CD. Als extra's zijn op die versie de videoclips van het laatste album en een backstagereportage toegevoegd. De officiële releasedatum is 28 november.
Kane tourt op dit moment langs de popzalen in Nederland en België met de ‘Everyting You Want Tour’. Op zaterdag 29 november geeft Kane een concert in een uitverkocht Paard van Troje in Den Haag.

Preview session

On the website of the HaagsPopPodium we can read up on:
The ‘Kane De Kuip Live’ DVD will be launched exclusivly to a selected (fan)audiance on Monday the 26th of November during a preview session at Fame music store in Amsterdam. Band members Dinand Woesthoff and Dennis van Leeuwen will be viewing the DVD along with 175 fans. Afterwards there is time for a signing session.
The registration of the concert the band played at the de Kuip venue on the 28th of June will be released in three different editions. Next to the DVD (that includes 16 tracks) and the CD (that includes 13 tracks) there will also be a limited version available that includes the DVD and CD. All the videoclips from the last EVERYRHINGYOUWANT album will be featured on that and a backstage report as well. The official release is set on the 28th of November.
Kane is on tour across the Netherlands and Belgium with the ‘Everyting You Want Tour’. On Satuday the 29th of November Kane will perform at the sold out Paard van Troje venue at The Hague.

Ook deze keer weer lezen we een update van Dinand op de KANE hyves:
Het klinkt heel Italiaans... 'TIVOLI!!!' Een beetje als een encore... 'Meer, meer, meer!!' Gisteren kwam het samen. Een balkonserenade van Romeo aan zijn onbekende Julia tijdens 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT'. Een zinderende publieks respons van 'The boys & the girls in the house' op 'R.E.A.L". It better be!!! Uitvoerige constructietests in 'DAMN & RAIN DOWN'. Overhitte respons van het fraaie op de eerste tonen van 'CATWALK CRIMINAL'. Could you be her? En een mooi duet van Dennis en Robin in de slottoegift met 'TOUGH'...
Kortom... 'TIVOLI, TIVOLI, TIVOLI!!!'
We zijn al zo vaak bij je geweest. Altijd als een van de eerste uitverkocht. Al doen we er 1, al doen we er meerdere, het is altijd goed of beter bij je. Iederen bedankt voor al die positieve energie. Het was een fraaie avond. Tot ergens in het nieuwe jaar TIVOLI.

Het is zover. Sinds begin oktober is er massaal gestemd voor Donna’s Top 5000. En vanaf vandaag, maandagochtend, beginnen ze bij Donna af te tellen naar de nummer 1. De top wordt ook dit jaar door duo's gepresenteerd en zal iets minder dan een maand duren. En ook KANE staat in Donna’s Top 5000 en wel met twee nummers; op nr. 723 vinden we de remix van Rain down on me en op nr. 4037 staat Shot of a gun te blinken. Mooi resultaat vinden wij! Elke dag komt een artiest uit de lijst akoestisch een nummer brengen in de studio - of KANE dat ook zal doen daar geven we je jullie later meer info over. Check nu de speciale Donna’s Top 5000-website, waar je live naar Donna kan luisteren, de presentatoren aan het werk zien via de videostream en de lijst op de voet volgen, maar je kan er ook singlehoesjes en achtergrondinformatie over de platen uit de lijst vinden. It’s here. From early October on listeners could vote their favourite track in Donna’s Top 5000. And as of today, Monday morning, they start counting down at radio Donna to the number one spot. Donna’s top will be presented, like previous years, by two Donna dj’s and will take just under a month to finish. And the guys from KANE made it to the Donna Top 5000 with two of their songs; at the nr. 723 spot we can find the Rain down on me remix and at nr. 4037 it’s Shot of a gun for you guys. Very pleased with that! We kregen via onze KANEpromoladies facebook page een bericht van Dieter die ‘tijdens het spetterende concert van Kane in de Vooruit in Gent foto’s genomen heeft’… zijn foto’s kan je bekijken via deze website. Ook Do van KaneFansiteBelgium was bij een aantal KANE gigs en haar foto’s kan je terug vinden op KaneFansiteBelgium. Frans en Els waren erbij in het Depot en de 013 en hun fotoverslagen kan je nu bekijken op onze flickr pagina.

Update Dinand - Leuven!

Vannacht smeet Dinand nog’s een update op de KANE hyves:
Ja we waren er al eerder deze zomer. 'Marktrock' is toch zeker een heel leuk festival om te spelen in Belgie. Deze keer was het de beurt aan 'Het Depot' in Leuven... Naar horen zeggen een oude pornobioscoop in de jaren '60 en niet zo lang terug omgeturnd tot concertzaal. De leren stoeltjes zijn er nog steeds ha, ha. If only the walls could speak...
Leuk om diep in het Vlaamse land te spelen. Nummer voor nummer was het veroveren op vreemde grond. 'Free', 'Mother', 'Rain down' & 'Catwalk Criminal'... het ging niet vanzelf, maar het was het meer dan waard. Zo muisstil is er nog niet geluisterd naar toegift 'Tough'. Belgen zijn geen Hollanders. En wij geen Belgen. Da's heel mooi, dat houdt het spannend. Bedankt Leuven, Porno of geen porno; we komen graag naar je terug!

Last night Dinand wrote an update on the KANE hyves:
Oh yes we already visited that place last summer. 'Marktrock' is a great festival to play at in Belgium. This time we were playing at 'Het Depot' venue in Leuven... Word has it it was an old porn movie theater in the '60 that got tranformed to a concert venue. They’ve kept those nice leather seats ha, ha. If only the walls could speak...
It’s nice to play in the heart of Belgium. We’re conquering New land with each track we play. 'Free', 'Mother', 'Rain down' & 'Catwalk Criminal'... It wasn’t easy , but it was worth it. The crowd never was as silent as in Leuven when performing 'Tough'. Belgians are no Dutch folks. And we’re no Belgians. That’s great, keeps things exciting. Thanks Leuven, Porn or no porn; we like visiting you!

Dit concert is vastgelegd, en komt nu uit op DVD en CD -- release datum 28 november! Afgelopen week hebben we met een intiem gezelschap de eerste beelden gezien. We received an email from KANE this morning in which we can read the following: on the 28th of June we played at the de Kuip venue! What a night we had there!
This concert was recorded and will be released on DVD and CD -- in stores from the 28th of November! The past week we’ve and some of our friends got a chance to see the dvd already. Leuven en Q report

Wat meestal een familiedag is die 11de november werd dit jaar een KANE dag voor de ladies… stond al een tijdje op de agenda ‘KANE in het Depot’ maar ergens Dinsdag werd daar ook ‘KANE bij Q’ aan toegevoegd. Wisten wij veel dat het weer een dingetje zou worden… aankomen in de kleurt je dag laan (staat er zo echt no shit) en in no time gebrieft door Mr. D over het ontbreken van een gitarist *pruillipje en ongeloof* en een andere gitarist die er zin in had *later bleek ook @!{" waarin* mochten de ladies en de rest van de aanwezige Belgische fanbase twee hoog verzamelen in de gezellige Q lounge… nee iedereen op een hoopje en denk er niet aan om in die lekker witte lederen zetels te springen - was buiten deze lady gerekend want die vloog in volle vaart op die zetels af en ging daar ff genieten van de soundcheck nah! De heren gingen zich ff klaarmaken voor het grote akoestische werk en Bart tha man of tha showbizzzzz gaf instructies (klapklapper klap harder). Nog ff fine tunen met de Q dj en het akoestische geweld mocht losbarsten in de lounge met als gevolg een yummie ‘shot of a gun‘, ‘rain down on me’, ’its london calling’, en ’tough’. Kijk, beluister en geniet er zelf van via de Q music website
En dan in zeven haasten naar Leuveuuuh want we hadden nog een date die avond… Nu zijn we wel wat gewend wat infrastructuur (jaja) van concertzalen betreft maar het Depot is ehh bijzonder… net een timewarp- een mooie timewarp dat wel. Waar de heren in de Gent nog voor een aardbeving zorgden was het target in Leuven duidelijk land verovering; het moest nu maar is duidelijk worden dat wat KANE met België van plan was: het publiek een stomende set geven. Tot je beseft damn dit is al de toegift. En dan zegt dat publiek hey Dinand; kom terug! En gooit Dinand met z’n mannen er nog eentje achter om gewoon met je mond vol tanden te staan tot dat… het applaus klinkt en je denkt damn die Belgjes snappen het gewoon.

Usualy the 11th of November is a weird day off spent with the family but this year it was a day with a KANE twist for us ladies… for a while now we could read ‘KANE at the Depot venue’ in our agenda but on Tuesday we could add ‘KANE at Q music’ to it. Did we know this would be one of those moments… at the media center Mr. D informed us on the missing in action of one of the guitarists *pout, disbelieve* and the other guitarist who was ready to go *for what that was the question later that night* we, the ladies, and the Belgian fanbase were send up to the cozy Q music lounge… no please don’t even think about getting comfortable in those white leather seats people - and no this lady ignored that advice and jumped right into the seats for a great view on the soundcheck in front of her! The guys disapeared for a few minutes to get ready for the accoustic set and Bart tha man of tha showbizzzzz gave us some instructions (clapclap clap make it loud). Just a bit of fine tuning and the Q music dj and the ac coustic set could start at the lounge with a yummie ‘shot of a gun‘, ‘rain down on me’, ’its london calling’, and ’tough’ as result. And so we raced to the magical city of Leuven as we still had a date on the agenda that night. And yes we’ve seen a bit of fancy places on our traveles but the het Depot venue is ehh special… like a timewarp- a fucking nice timewarp. And if we can say the guys we’re trying to cause an earthquake in Gent last Saturday we can now say the target in Leuven was to conquer land; high time to make clear what KANE was up to in Belgium: pleasing the crowd with a kick ass set. When you realize damn this is the extra track already… and the crowd makes it clear to Dinand; get back on you fool! What can only be answered with a mindblowing final track leaving the crowd in silence and giving the guys the most deserved applause they ever had in Belgium… and I was like damn you Belgian fans you finally got it didn’t you.

Update Dinand - GRONINGEN

Maandag nacht, na het concert in Gronigen, schreef Dinand deze update op de KANE hyves:
Dus zou je zeggen dat het best ver is van Gent naar Groningen. Dat klopt. Maar Groningen, je bent het waard. wooooowwww... dat was zo'n gig waarbij het 'gewoon' gebeurde. Bijna alles op z'n plek.. bijna ha ha... Toegegeven... Je gaf je niet zo maar, maar wij hadden geduld... en een stomende set!
Voor ons een topgig in een topzaal. En eerlijk is eerlijk; dit was voor ons de eerste keer dat het top was in die grote zaal... die kleine kennen we inmiddels als bijna perfect. De grote zaal mogen we eindelijk ook bij dat rijtje zetten.
Hebben we slechts een paar jaar over gedaan ha, ha. Het is wat het is, Groningen, Grunningers...

Last Monday night, after the gig in Gronigen, Dinand wrote this update on the KANE hyves:
So you’d say it’s a pretty long strowl from Gent to Groningen. That’s right. But Groningen, you’re worth it. wooooowwww... It was just one of those gigs the ‘magic’ happened. Everything seemed almost right.. almost ha ha... I admitt... You didn’t surrender easily, but we were patient... And a fucking awesome set!
one hell of a gig at one hell of a venue for us. And fair is fair; first time it was awesome for us at this venue... That little one we know as nearly perfect by now. The big one we can add to that list.
We had to work on that for a few year didn’t we ha, ha. It is what it is, Groningen, Grunningers...

de WATT & VOORUIT

En wat vonden de ladies van de voorbije twee KANE concerten was de vraag?
Ok dan… die broeiend hete kick off in de WATT… lang naar zitten uitkijken… met koorts en maagpijn erheen… binnen komen in een getransformeerde nighttown eh watt dus en ff vegas for millons *ah cute* uitchecken na een aantal bar/wc bezoekjes hoorden we daar de So Glad remix en kon de trein vertrekken voor wat een reis van een dikke 2 uur moest worden…een ding was meteen duidelijk zowel het publiek in de zaal als de heren op het podium hadden er zin in! Mooie afwisseling van nummers uit het EVERYTHINGYOUWANT album en - zoals beloofd - de wat ‘oudere’ nummers (Free! Mother! Let it be! Where do I go!) werd het… Let’s face it…met een lekker in het vel zittende front man, een band die lekker samen staat te spelen, een drummer die op tijd uit NY geland is en een gitarist die blij is om in zijn stadje te spelen kon het ook niet fout gaan toch? Minpuntje misschien van de avond de iets te felle en laag hangende lichten, of had alleen rij 1 tem 3 hier last van?
Meteen over naar gister avond; de Vooruit, België! Blij om de heren weer in ons geilige landje op n podium te mogen zien. En we wisten ook gewoon op voorhand dat deze genieten zou worden. De band ging verder op het watt-elan… mooi… de ladies voelden zich stukken beter dan afgelopen Donderdag en dus werd er deze keer uit het dak gegaan… het mocht want we waren thuis… ook België kreeg een setlist om duimen en vingers af te likken en een band om gewoon van te gaan glimlachen… staan ze daar lekker te spelen he; ‘ja vooral die KANE daar’ kregen we terug… het blijft anders in België inderdaad. Opgemerkt tijdens de show: een zanger die de zachte g geoefend heeft en Robin die mij met z’n solo met m’n open mond liet staan (hey het gebeurd… zelden maar die gast flikte het gister) … en ow heren dankjewel voor de All day and all of the night… as always yummie stuff! En zoals we het al zeiden we zien jou en jou en jou Dinsdag ergens in Brussel en Leuven ;)

So glad…

So the question was what did the ladies think of the past two KANE gigs was it?
Let’s start with a f*cking hot kick off at the WATT venue… been looking forward to that one for ages it seemed… with a fever and stomach ache on the day… walking into a totally transformed nighttown eh watt that is and standing there listening to vegas for millons *ah cute* floret by visites to thel bar/toilet room we heared the So Glad remix and we knew the train had departed for what would be a voyage of nearly 2 hours…one thing was made clear from the get go: both the crowd and the gents on stage where on fire! The setlist was a nice mix of songs from the EVERYTHINGYOUWANT album and - as promised - a few ‘older’ songs (Free! Mother! Let it be! Where do I go!) … Let’s face it… with a front man who‘s on top of the world, a band who’s playing on fire, a drummer who got back on time from NY and a guitarist who’s delighted to perform in his own backyard it can hardly go wrong can it? Just a bit of a remark: the stage lights were’nt always fun to have on guys, or did that only bother the people on the first to the thirt rows? Moving right along to gig of last night; de Vooruit, Belgium! Very glad to see the guys perform once again in our own little country. And we just knew this one would be an amazing one. The band kept the same flow as the kick,off night at the watt on thursday… nice one… the ladies felt much better thank you and so we kinda went nutts last night… all was allowed as we were at home… and so Belgium got a setlist that was to delish’ to be real and a band that just makes you smile… Noticed during the show: a front man who’s been practising it’s Flemish ’g’ and Robin who made me shut up (really I can shut up from time to time) for a moment whilest doing his solo …. and guys thanks ever so much for that All day and all of the night… as always yummie stuff! And like we said yesterday we’ll see you and you and you on Tuesday somewhere in Brussels and Leuven ;)

STIJLVOL GENT

Vannacht smeet Dinand nog een update online:
En dan is er al vroeg in de tour 'De Vooruit' in Gent. Er zijn nog van de zalen daar stroomt de historie je tegemoet Dit is zo'n zaal. Een oude balzaal zo lijkt het en vanavond was ze in gehuld in haar beste voorkomen; uitverkocht!
Dus speelden wij in Belgie. Dat is altijd anders spelen. Niet beter, niet slechter, anders. Het publiek was er klaar voor en ik denk dat ze de mooiste 'Damn those Eyes' sinds lange tijd hebben gekregen. Catwalk Criminal blijkt ook in Belgie al zonder enige vorm van radio airplay/support ook in Gent al bij de eerste tonen van het intro zo uit elkaar te klappen, dat ik bijna de tekst zou veranderen in... 'I think she knows it and she's gonna be all mine.'
Het was mooi dat we er weer mochten staan voor een vol huis.
Amaai Gent, Dank U. We hadden er weer goesting in. Saluuukes, nu helemaal omhoog naar Gruningen!

WANT YOU 2 KNOW RIGHT NOW

After the gig in Gent, Belgium Dinand wrote this update:
And early on in the tour we’ve got 'De Vooruit' venue in Gent. There are some venues out there where you can just feel history is still present and this venue is one of those. An old ball room it seems and to night she played her sweetest symfonie; sold out!
So we played a gig in Belgium. That’s always a bit different. Not better, not worse, just different. The crowd was ready for it and I think they got the most beautiful 'Damn those Eyes' in ages. Catwalk Criminal kicked in from the very first minutes and that’s amazing in Belgium seeing it didn’t got any kind of radio airplay/support there… I almost want to go and change the lyrics into... 'I think she knows it and she's gonna be all mine.'
It was was good standing there on stage in front of a sold out venue.
My goodness Gent, Thanks. We had a blast. See you’s soon, and now let’s travel up north to Gruningen!

KANE akoestisch

Eerder deze week viel er hier een mailtje van Universal binnen waarin we lazen dat KANE op Dinsdag 11 november naar de Vlaamse Q music studio’s zal komen voor een korte akoestische set voor een selecte groep fans en… daar kan JIJ bij zijn! Wim Oosterlinck van Q music vertelde net wat je hiervoor moet doen: heb je dit gemist luister dan morgen en Maandag weer naar de Wim Oosterlinck show of check de Q music website … SUCCES!

Earlier on this week we got an email from Universal in which we could read KANE will perform an exclusive acoustic set at the Q music studio’s in Belgium on Tuesday the 11th of November. And YOU can be a part of that! Wim Oosterlinck, dj at Q music, just informed listeners what they’ll have to do to be a part of this unique experience: missed it listen tomorrow and on monday again to the Wim Oosterlinck sow or check the Q music website … GOOD LUCK!

Gister avond smeet Dinand ook een korte update op de KANE hyves:
Hola Guapos, Hier even een klein bericht van het front...
Vanmorgen hebben we een heuse 'viewing' gehad van de 'KANE DE KUIP LIVE' DVD. En ik kan je zeggen... WOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!! Ik had hem nog niet helemaal af gezien, ging zitten in dat kleine bioscoopje van het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam, was benieuwd hoe het zou voelen... En het voelde echt helemaal zoals wij van het podium afliepen in De Kuip. Een rush, een high, een gevoel van 'fuckin' hell; dat hebben we mooi geflikt! Terugkijkend zijn we vaak kritischer dan goed is voor de vibe, maar nu kijken we terug met een heel trots gevoel. En dus zeg ik je;

This morning we had a 'viewing' of the 'KANE DE KUIP LIVE' DVD. And let me tell you this... WOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!!! Hadn’t had a chance to view it before, so I sat down in that little movie theatre ‘Ketelhuis’ in Amsterdam, excited to what It would feel like... And it felt just like stepping of the stage at the De Kuip venue. A rush, a high, a feeling of 'fuckin' hell; we did an awesome job! Reflecting on things we’re always very critical about stuff then we should, but now we can only be proud. So I’m telling you;

Gister avond zat er in het Nederlandse showbizz programma RTL Boulevard een interview met Dinand en Dennis gemaakt tijdens de voorstelling van de KANE live in de Kuip dvd. Opgelet BELGISCHE fans van KANE: Heb jij een vraag over het EVERYTHINGYOUWANT album, de Shot of a Gun clip of de It's London Calling, de dvd Live in de Kuip of een andere vraag aan de heren van KANE dan is het NU je kans. Stuur die ene vraag die je al zolang wil vragen aan Dinand of Dennis meteen door via ons contactformulier en de meest originele vraag word beloond met een duo-ticket voor het bijna uitverkochte KANE concert in het Depot te Leuven op Dinsdag 11 november as.
