KANE is terug met EVERYTHINGYOUWANT en ook in België is dat niet onopgemerkt gebleven. Na de Qmusic showcase van vorige maand en de verwachte optredens op de Lokerse feesten en Marktrock in augustus staan er ook enkele eigen shows in België op de agenda. De Belgische fans worden met andere woorden beloont voor het lange wachten op hun favo band! Een van hen is Dorien en zij heeft een Belgische fansite opgericht om de Belgische fans up to date te houden van alle KANEnieuwtjes… en daar zijn de KANEpromoladies meer dan blij mee! KANE is back with EVERYTHINGYOUWANT and Belgian fans are nuts about it. After the showcase at the Qmusic studios and the expected gigs at the Lokerse feesten and Marktrock festivals in August the guys will do a few shows in Belgium. Their way of thanking the Belgian fans to be as dedicated as ever! One of those fans is Dorien and she created a Belgian fansite for the band to keep their Belgian fans up to date on all the KANE news… no need to say the KANEpromoladies are very happy with this! Dinand wrote a new update on the KANE hyves in which he looks back on the past try-out tour and everything what comes along with that; the promotionele trip to Belgium and the showcase in Antwerp; and the concert at the de Kuip venue last Saturday. oh what a night

Afgelopen zaterdag avond speelde KANE in de KUIP! De ladies waren erbij want ‘het concert van het jaar mag je niet missen’ werd ons een paar dagen voorheen nog’s duidelijk gemaakt… en die zin werd meer dan waar gemaakt… van een band dat van de eerste tot de laatste noot plezier had in het spelen/zingen/rocken tot een stadion waarin de meest kleine en intieme liedjes de weg naar ieders harten vond en waar de mexican wave een paar keer voorbij kwam… vuurwerk op en rond het podium… en als afsluiter nog een leuk feestje… hey wij hebben al es saaiere Zaterdagavonden gehad ;) Bedankt mannen en lekker stuk, het was geweldig jullie glimlachjes en pure rock te zien/voelen/horen. Het enige wat wij dachten tijdens en na het concert was ‘damn wat zijn wij trots op dat bandje’… misschien jij ook?

KANE in de KUIP - feedback

Last Saturday KANE played live at the de KUIP venue! The ladies decided to go and see the guys after someone mentioned ‘ ladies you really can’t miss out on what’s gonna be the concert of the year’… and oh boy we can say now we’re so glad we attended the concert of the year!… we got to see a band that had fun in playing/rocking/singing together and a huge soccer stadium that felt like a small rehearsal room during the ‘little’ songs and a crowd that went nuts and gave the band a few mexican waves just to show them they were having fun… check out the setlist above… fireworks on and beside the stage… and a very cosy party afterwards… hey we in the past we had some less exciting Saturday evenings ;) Thanks you guys and Miss sexy, it was great seeing you smile and to get a taste of your rock ‘n’ roll. We just kept thinking ‘damn sure are proud of that band’… maybe you were thinking the same?

Morgen, zaterdag 28 juni, geeft KANE een concert in De Kuip te Rotterdam. Op de bijna volledig vernieuwde website van de band www.KANE.nl worden bezoekers van dit concert verzocht gebruik te maken van het openbaar vervoer om De Kuip te bereiken, check voor de uurregeling en alle info www.ns.nl.
De Nederlandse band Voicst zal het voorprogramma vanaf 20u verzorgen en rond 21u zal KANE het podium opstappen. Rond 23u zal het concert ten einde lopen. Kijk voor alle info op www.aa-concert.nl…

Maandag 23 juni, waren de mannen van KANE te gast in het EEN programma Zomer 2008. Het gesprek tussen Dinand en presentator Ben Crabbé ging over het EK voetbal, het KANE in de Kuip concert van nu zaterdag en de Belgische festivals waar KANE zal spelen. De show werd afgesloten met een akoestische 'Shot Of A Gun' voor het verliezende Nederlandse elftal...

On Monday the 23th of June, KANE were guests at the Belgian talkshow Zomer 2008. Dinand and Ben, the host of the show, talked about the European championship football, the KANE in de Kuip concert which will take place this Saturday in Rotterdam and the Belgian festivals where KANE will be on stage. The show ended with an acoustic 'Shot Of A Gun' dedicated to the Dutch soccer team that had to leave the championship on Saturday...

Belgische fansite KANE weer online!!!

Ellen was er al bij toen KANE de allereerste keer een bezoekje bracht aan België... en ook zij wou toen de band actief steunen en richte een KANE fansite op met bijhorende website. KANE liet Nederland en België ff links liggen voor privé stuff en opnames van het EVERYTHINGYOUWANT album maar KANE is back en zo ook de Belgische KANE fansite! Tijdens de Qmusic showcase liepen we Ellen tegen het lijf en ze vertelde ons dat ze deze maand nog weer online wil zijn en... ze's back haha! Wij vinden het alvast super dat de Belgische fans dankzij Ellen een online platform aangeboden krijgen waar ze al hun concertverhalen, foto's en emoties met elkaar kunnen delen en ook kunnen afspreken om samen gezellig naar KANE concerten te rijden/sporen/wandelen/... Neem er vlug een kijkje en vul je fanprofiel in of laat een berichtje in het gastenboek na en we zien jou en Ellen snel weer bij KANE!

De feedback over de exclusieve KANE showcase bij de Vlaamse radiozender Qmusic is ontzettend goed! Zo lezen we op de gastboeken van oa. onze netlog en facebook enthousiaste reacties van KANEfans die er afgelopen maandag bij mochten zijn! Maar ook de Vlaamse showbizz site is laaiend enthousiast over Din & Co en bij de Top of music site kijken ze al uit naar een volgende KANE doortocht in Vlaanderen. The feedback we got on the exclusive KANE showcase at the Qmusic studios in Belgium is soooo good! Some KANEfans who attended the showcase write in our geustbooks on our netlog and facebook page they were so glad to be part of the party! On the Belgian showbizz site they also write some positieve feedback about Dinand & Co and at the Belgian Top of music site they're already looking forward to the next KANE concert in Belgium. Ergens tussen paradiso en de Luxor stond voor KANE ook een showcase bij de Vlaamse radiozender Qmusic op de agenda. Tickets werden niet verkocht, er werd een sms-spelletje gelanceerd... altijd fun *not*. Half België smste zich knetter en eindigde ook op maandagavond 16 juni in de Antwepse Zuiderkroon waar KANE na maanden de Belgische fans weer een portie rock & roll zou geven.
We kunnen kort zijn over de showcase: TE ZOT VOOR WOORDEN... en een paar reacties nadien; maat da groepke was vet fack, Dinand is een beest, jong ik voel mijn voeten niemeer, raiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin down *lalala*, hij lachte naar mij *bloos*, ik wil ook zo'n gitaar!, gaan we naar de Lokerse? - verslagjes en foto's van de showcase zijn altijd welkom, mail ze ons gewoon door!
Op de site van Q-music kan je al foto's vinden van de showcase!

Het was gezellig, bloedheet, gezellig, geil, emo, lachen, springen en we willen het snel weer... op 1 augustus staat KANE op de Lokerse feesten en op 9 augustus op het Marktrock podium. Na de zomer zal KANE een aantal eigen shows in Belgie geven, waar en wanneer lees je natuurlijk op deze site!

Antwerp knows...

Somewhere between the paradiso and the Luxor venue KANE made time for an exclusive showcase at the Qmusic radiostation. Tickets couldn't be bought, they could only be won by texting the radiostation... great fun *not*. People were texting like lunatics to get their hands on the exclusive invites which would give them access to the showcase. And so nearly all of them ended up that Monday the 16th of June at the Zuiderkroon venue in Antwerp where KANE would return to a Belgian venue for some good old rock & roll. Let's sum up the gig according to the feedback we got from the audiance: MINDBLOWING - check the setlist above. Last night was cosy, fucking hot, horny, emo, great fun, jump for life and we just want some more... on the 1st of August KANE will play at the Lokerse feesten festival and on the 9th of August they'll play at the Marktrock festival stage. After this summer KANE will return to Belgium for some extra concerts, when and at which venue you'll read on this site!

Voicst voorprogramma KANE

Op de website van nu.nl lezen we: Voicst staat op 28 juni in het voorprogramma van het concert dat Kane in de Rotterdamse Kuip geeft. Dat heeft AT Productions vrijdag bekendgemaakt.
De Amsterdamse band, die bestaat uit Tjeerd Bomhoff, Joppe Molenaar en Sven Woodside, kwam begin dit jaar met een tweede album, 'A tale of two devils'.
De opvolger van het debuutalbum '11-11' staat al twee maanden in de Mega Album Top 100, waar het momenteel de 64e plaats bekleedt.

Voicst support act KANE

On the nu.nl website we can read: Dutch band Voicst will be support act for KANE on the 28th of June at the De Kuip venue. The bands management AT Productions announced this on Friday.
The band from Amsterdam, that revolves around Tjeerd Bomhoff, Joppe Molenaar and Sven Woodside, released their second album this year titled 'A tale of two devils'. The follower up on their debut album '11-11' has been a resident in the Dutch Mega Album Top 100 for two months now, and can be found at the number 64 spot.

Kick off try-outs

Gisteren avond gaf KANE de kick off van een reeks try-outs ter voorbereiding van hun enige grote concert in Nederland, in De Kuip op 28 juni as. Tivoli was volledig uitverkocht en zowel de fans als de band zagen dat het goed was… KANE is back met EVERYTHINGYOUWANT maar ook met die zo kenmerkende rock & roll show on stage…
De ladies waren er niet bij in Tivoli maar Frans en Els wel en zij hebben sfeerfoto's genomen van deze eerste try-out! Bedankt jullie ;) De foto's staan in de loop van deze week op onze foto pagina!
Vanavond staat KANE in een uitverkochte Oosterpoort waarna nog een aantal try-outs en showcases volgen… kijk voor een concert overzicht op onze tourdates-pagina…

KANE on stage…

Last night KANE kicked off their first try-out at the Tivoli venue in Holland. The try-out tour which will take the band across Holland during the month of June is to prepare for their huge gig at the De Kuip venue on the 28th of June. Tivoli was sold out and both the band and the fanbase had an amazing night… KANE is back with EVERYTHINGYOUWANT but also with their famous rock & roll show on stage…
The ladies couldn't be at Tivoli last night but Frans and Els were and they took some photos! Thanks a lot you two ;) The photos will be uploaded onto our photo page in a few days!
Tonight KANE playes at the sold out Oosterpoort venue and wil perform at exclusive showcases and other try-outs during this month… check out the tourdates-page for a full gig schedule…

Een nieuwe update op de KANE hyves:
EVERYTHINGYOUWANT is in 1 week GOUD! Gisteren op een fansiteavond kreeg KANE van Universal een gouden plaat uitgereikt . Van ons en alle Belgische fans ( en ohhh my er zitten veel KANEfans hier in Belgie ) een hele grote PROFICIAT MANNEN ;)
En dan nog een leuk nieuwtje; KANE heeft nieuwe merchandise!! Hierover snel meer, maar als je erbij bent.. check out the new t-shirts in premiere vandaag in Tivoli.

Kane stunt: bel nu zelf met de groep!

De Bel met KANE stunt is nu ook in Belgie een ware hype geworden. Sinds een week hoor je de commercial op Qmusic Belgie en dj Wim Oosterlinck probeerde zelfs op dinsdag het telefoonnummer uit. Vandaag lezen we op de site van VTM V!PS:
Het is pure waanzin maar het is echt de moeite waard om zelf eens uit te proberen. De Nederlandse rockgroep Kane heeft voor een bijzonder aparte stunt gezorgd. Wie surft naar de website www.belmetkane.be , en z'n gsm toestel bij de hand heeft, kan zelf even bellen met Dinand Woesthoff, zanger en frontman van Kane. Wanneer je naar de website surft zal je eerst bij het laden van de site worden afgeleid door de kronkelende danskunsten van een vrouwelijke gitariste, waarna je vervolgens op de homepage terechtkomt. Als je dan met je gsm toestel naar het nummer 0031 70 756 77 85 belt, dan gebeurt er iets heel bijzonders en krijg je Dinand Woesthoff of Kane zelf aan de lijn. Aanleiding voor deze actie is de release van de nieuwe cd 'Everything You Want', het 7de album dat de groep zopas heeft uitgebracht in Nederland en Vlaanderen.
De CD 'Everything You Want' van Kane doet het bijzonder goed in Nederland en in België. Het album met de hitsingle 'Shot of a gun' stond op 25 in de Ultratop 50 genoteerd. Call up KANE!

The Call up KANE stunt has now reached Belgium and turned into a hype. Dj Wim Oosterlinck from Belgian radiostation Qmusic couldn't believe his ears when he used the phonenumber to call up KANE earlier on this week during his show. And today we can read on the site of VTM V!PS:
It's pure madness but it's worth trying. Dutch rockband Kane created a hype with their latest stunt. Dinand was voor een keer baas over z'n eigen tijdschrift… voor een keer deed hij al de research en was de final cut (?!) in zijn handen... en hij ligt in nu in de Nederlandse (kranten)winkels: DINAND.
We lezen alvast veelbelovende onderwerpen als : kreeft eten met Van Nistelrooy & schoenenfetisj - stilleto's voor gevorderden. Maar ook interviews met Ruud de Wild, Femke Halsema en Ellen ten Damme staan in DINAND.
En echt, als wij'm in handen krijgen gaan we'm lezen… beloofd.

Dinand , the lead singer of KANE got the chance to be chief editor of his own magazine … the research, editing and final cut (?!) of the magazine all came down to him... and now it's in stores at Dutch (newspaper)stores: DINAND. Magazine.
On the cover we can read promising titels such as: eating lobster with Van Nistelrooy & shoefetish - stilleto's for the advanced. In addition there are to be found interviews with Ruud de Wild, Femke Halsema and Ellen ten Damme in DINAND. magazine

VVK Kersouwe

In een vorige update van de KANE hyves werd er een extra KANE try-out aangekondigd in Kersouwe. Vandaag staat er op de website www.kersouwe.nl te lezen:
De try-out tour voor KANE in de KUIP gaat beginnen. Een van deze try outs is op 24 juni in natuurtheater De Kersouwe. De kaartverkoop begint op zaterdag 31 mei a.s. om 10.00 uur via deze website , bij de VVV Heeswijk en café De Zwaan in Heeswijk. Via Uitpunt Veghel zijn vanaf maandag 2 juni om 14.00 uur kaarten te koop. Wees er snel bij!
De eerste try out is op 5 juni in Tivoli in Utrecht. Daarna volgen nog 8 optredens in het Nederlandse popcircuit voordat KANE op 28 juni het enige grote concert van dit jaar in de Rotterdamse Kuip geeft.Op 24 juni gaat om 20.00 uur de poort open, programma begint om 21.00 uur. Ticketsales extra try-out

In a previous update on the KANE hyves the guys announced an extra concert which would be at the Kersouwe venue in Holland. Today we can read on www.kersouwe.nl :
The try-out tour to warm up for KANE at the KUIP is about to kick-off. One of those try outs is on the 24th of June at De Kersouwe venue. Ticketsales start this Saturday the 31th of May at 10:00 on this website , at VVV Heeswijk and café De Zwaan in Heeswijk. In addition there will be tickets available at Uitpunt Veghel from Monday the 2nd of June from 14:00. Act quickly!
The first try out is on the 5th of June at Tivoli in Utrecht. Following up to that there are another 8 try-outs across Holland building up to the KANE concert at the De Kuip venue on the 28th of June.On the 24th of June at 20:00 gates will open at Kersouwe, the show will kick off at 21:00. The show will end at 23:30. Tickets cost € 25.

KANE zwaait Oranje uit

KANE zorgt nu zondagmiddag 1 juni, kort voor de aftrap van de EK oefeninterland , van Oranje tegen Wales in de Rotterdamse Kuip, voor de warming-up van de voetbalfans met een heus miniconcert. De band zal enkele nummers spelen uit het nieuwe album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT , waaronder de hitsingle Shot Of A Gun.
Enkele weken later, op 28 juni om precies te zijn, staat de band weer in stadion De Kuip. Ditmaal voor hun eigen show, het eerste grote KANE concert in twee jaar. Voor dit optreden zijn nog tickets te koop.

KANE and soccer

KANE will perform this Sunday afternoon, just before the kick-off for the practise soccer game between Oranje (The Netherlands) against Wales (Great Britain) at the De Kuip in Rotterdam. The band will perform a few tracks of their new album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT , including Shot Of A Gun.
Just a couple of few weeks later, on the 28th of June, the guys are performing once again at De Kuip venue. That time it'll be for their very own show, the first (huge) KANE concert after two years. Tickets for this event are still available.

En dus was er champagne; weer een reden voor een bescheiden feestje. Zoals jullie weten hebben we er lang naartoe gewerkt. Niet zo zeer de nummer 1, als wel het moment van release. Een verassende naam bij Kane na het vertrek van Martijn Bosman. Toch lijkt Joost Kroon zijn draai te hebben gevonden bij de vaderlandse rocktrots. Toazted.nl had naar aanleiding van de release van het nieuwe KANE album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT een interview met Dinand en Dennis:
In dit eerste deel van het interview met Neerlands' trots Kane hebben we het natuurlijk over hun nieuwste geluidsdrager met de titel; 'Everything you want'. Dinand en Dennis vertellen ons onder andere waar het verschil zit met de oude sound en over hun trip naar New York en Philadelphia. Daar werkten ze samen met de producers die onder de best en ter wereld worden geschaard. Kortom, hoe was het? En in deel twee: Wat doet een goede producer tijdens het produceren nog met een band zoals Kane, die een duidelijk beeld heeft van haar muziek? We krijgen een warrig verhaal te horen van de band over sommige onderdelen van het proces. Komt die warrigheid door het dagenlang hard werken en interviews doen, of was het daadwerkelijk zo? KANE tell it all

Toazted.nl did an interview a few weeks ago with the guys from KANE on the release of their new album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT :
In part one of the interview with Hollands finest they had a chat about the album 'Everything you want'. Dinand and Dennis told us amongst other things about the new sound of the album and their trip to New York and Philadelphia. In both cities they worked along side the best producers in the world. An recap on how that all went down. And in part two: What the extra that a good producer can bring to the vibe of a band like KANE which has got a clear view on their music? We got a not so clear answer of both band members on the aspects of producing. Is that because they worked so hard the past days both on the record and on doing interviews or is the process just not clear at all? Recensie EVERYTHINGYOUWANT

Het Nederlandse muziek magazine OOR heeft alvast een recensie over het nieuwe KANE album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT geschreven:
Dit vierde studioalbum van Kane kent drie nummers die kunnen gelden als rust- en herkenningspunten voor de traditionele Kane-fan. Hitsingle Shot Of A Gun, afsluiter en aanstekerballad I Belong To You en het op een luchtige beat getoonzette liefdesliedje It's London Calling. Beide laatstgenoemde nummers zijn odes aan Lucy Hopkins, de (Britse) vrouw van zanger Dinand Woesthoff. Ze zijn - blijkens de hoesinformatie - in late instantie aan het album toegevoegd. Alsof band en entourage wat 'vertrouwd' tegenwicht wilde bieden aan de andere songs, die nadrukkelijk niet als Kane-oude-stijl klinken.

Dutch music magazine OOR wrote an album review on KANE's new album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT :
This fourth studio album delivered by KANE consists of three tracks that are the most recognizable for the traditional traditional KANE-fan. Hit single Shot Of A Gun, final track and ballad I Belong To You and the love song It's London Calling. 2 out of those are tracks dedicated to Lucy Hopkins, the (British) wife of lead singer Dinand Woesthoff. They were - according to the album information inside - added to the album in a later stage. Maybe the band and their entourage wanted to add some 'familiar' sound to the other tracks, which are so different in comparison to the old KANE style.

KANE gets things started…

Vanochtend vroeg begonnen Dinand en Dennis aan hun dagje 'het nieuwe album promoten' bij Giel Beelen op 3FM en die vatte het mooi samen op z'n site; Wat een morgen met Kane in 't huis! Altijd knallen ! Dinand a capella, een lachkick vlak voor hun live-optreden en ze spoten me helemaal onder met waterpistolen! Tussendoor speelden ze ook nog live een extra nummer van hun nieuwe album. Toen moest Dennis nog los gaan! Hij smashte een gitaar helemaal naar de klote ! - er werden twee tracks van het nieuwe album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT gespeeld: Shot of a gun en Tough . Early this morning Dinand and Dennis, busy with their 'we're promoting the new album'-task paid a visit to dj Giel Beelen at Dutch radio 3FM and he wrote an little update on that visit on his site; Holy shit what a morning we had with KANE in the house! Always up for crazy things ! Dinand a capella, bursting out in laughter just before their live-performance and they'd brought along some water guns which I met from up close and personal! In between mayhem they performed an extra track of the new album. And hey time for Dennis to go nuts! He smashed a guitar to pieces ! - the guys performed two tracks from the new album EVERYTHINGYOUWANT: Shot of a gun en Tough . To listen to the recordings of this morning please visit this link . 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT' ligt vrijdag in de winkels en dat gaat ook deze keer gepaard met een boel heisa. En heisa vinden wij heel leuk. 't Is alleen jammer dat het zoveel tijd kost. KANE @ 538 stage

Radio 538 organiseert dit jaar opnieuw een feestje. Het Koninginnedagspektakel in Amsterdam is ook dit jaar weer LIVE te volgen via het internet. Radio 538 zal ook dit jaar met een groot podium bezit nemen van het Museumplein in Amsterdam, waar tussen 12 en 22 uur een groot aantal artiesten, waaronder KANE optreden. Het Koninginnedagfeest is live te volgen via www.Radio.NL
Het spektakel op Koninginnedag op 30 april is dit jaar voor het eerst ook op tv te zien bij RTL5. Het feestje op het Museumplein in Amsterdam is 'niet live' te volgen op televisie maar alleen als samenvatting. 10 uur lang zullen een groot aantal artiesten optreden in Amsterdam. De samenvatting wordt in slechts één uurtje samengevat tussen 23.00 en 0.00 uur bij RTL 5 door EliZe en 538-deejay Frank Dane. De twee belhamels Ben - we lovvvve you Ben - en Thibaut van het radio Donna programma Stereo spécial kregen eerder deze week Dinand en Dennis over de vloer. Hoe dat afgelopen is werd gisteravond in hun programma uitgezonden. Naast een gezellige babbel kregen de Stereo spécial luisteraars ook de nieuwe KANEsingle 'Shot of a gun' te horen, een eigen versie van Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' in de mix met 'Rain down'.

Busy in Belgium…

Ben - we lovvvve you Ben - and Thibaut, or the two most sexy radio host in Belgium, of radio Donna show Stereo spécial invited Dinand and Dennis on to their show earlier on this month. How all that went down was broadcasted yesterday evening. After a nice chat the guys performed their new single 'Shot of a gun', played a very own interpretation of the Gnarls Barkley song 'Crazy' ending with a shortened version of 'Rain down'.

De 3FM Awards worden morgen, zaterdag (26 april), weer uitgereikt. Dit jaar zal het feestje doorgaan in The Factory in Amsterdam. Awards worden uitgereikt aan onder meer de Beste Band, Beste Zanger, Beste Zangeres, Beste artiest Pop, Beste artiest Rock, Beste artiest Alternative, Beste single, Beste album, Beste live act, Serious Talent en Beste nieuwkomer. Naast het Leidse trio Kraak & Smaak zullen ook de volgende artiesten optreden: Anouk, KANE , Moke, Krezip, Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark en Racoon.
De uitreiking van 3FM Awards is één van de hoogtepunten van het Weekend van de 3FM Awards. Vrijdagmorgen (25 april) vanaf 06.00 uur tot zondagavond 27 april 18.00 uur draait 3FM 100% muziek van artiesten van Nederlandse bodem.

KANE in the morning

Vanochtend brachten Dinand en Dennis een bezoek aan de Qmusic studios te Vilvoorde. Dj's Deckers & Ornelis vroegen zich af waar KANE al die tijd geweest was en wat de plannen waren voor 2008. Dat was duidelijk: Belgie veroveren, een showcase hier en daar spelen (misschien Marktrock doen) en vooral heel veel genieten. Een fotoverslag van het bezoek aan Qmusic staat nu al op de Deckers & Ornelis website ; update --- de audiofiles ( een paar prachtige akoestische nummers, een quiz -sooo funny - en een interview ) staan nu ook online.

Early this morning Dinand and Dennis were invited to the Deckers & Ornelis morning show on Belgian radio Qmusic. Both dj's were wondering what happened to KANE - as they were a bit out of sight for the past months - and what the guys would be up to in the near future. The answer was determined: conquer Belgium, play a showcase here and there (maybe get on the Marktrock stage) and enjoy every minute of it. KANE is coming…

Na gisteravond het Paard ondersteboven gerockt te hebben... hebben Dinand en Dennis nauwelijks tijd om er van bij te komen... want de KANE trein is op stoom en is gelijk al weer door naar Belgie.
Morgen zullen de heren van KANE live in de studio van Q-Music bij de ochtendshow van Deckers & Ornelis zijn. Vanaf 7.30 uur worden zij betrokken in het programma en zullen ze een aantal akoestische nummers spelen en geïnterviewd worden.
--- update: En ook een bezoekje aan de studios van JIM tv staat op de agenda (thnx JIM Guru!); meer over dit bezoek op deze website over enkele dagen. Verder zijn de heren 2 dagen in Brussel en Antwerpen om de Belgische pers te woord te staan. Kortom; KANE is coming to Belgium! .

Gelezen in de KANE nieuwsbrief: Op 9 mei ligt het langverwachte nieuwe album van KANE in de winkel. Het album kent in totaal 12 tracks. Het album is te verkrijgen op CD en dubbel vinyl. Dennis belemmert nummer 1 voor KANE

Gelezen op de site van Gerard : De 'Ticket for Tibet'-benefietsingle 'Als je ooit eens terug kan' komt maandag binnen op de eerste plaats van de Single Top 100. De opbrengst van de single, waar onder anderen Kane-gitarist Dennis van Leeuwen aan meewerkte, gaat volledig naar drie Tibetaanse nonnen die zes jaar vastzaten in een Chinese gevangenis na het zingen van een protestlied tegen de Chinese overheersing van Tibet. De single is uitgebracht namens de organisatie van het festival Ticket For Tibet, dat zondag plaatsvindt in Amsterdam.
Op de tweede plaats in de Top 100 komt Kane binnen met hun nieuwe single 'Shot of a gun' . Daardoor ontstaat de rare situatie dat een single met Kane-gitarist Van Leeuwen een nummer-1 positie voor Kane belemmert.

Dennis takes the number one spot

Read on the site of Haags Pop Podium : The single for the Dutch 'Ticket for Tibet' festival 'Als je ooit eens terug kan' makes a spectacular entrance at the number one spot in the Dutch Single Top 100 on Monday. All proceeds of the single, on which amongst other artist KANE guitarist Dennis van Leeuwen collaborated, are going to three Tibetan nuns who were taken prison in a Chinese prison for 6 years after singing a protest song against the Chinese domination of Tibet. The single has been released by the organisers of the Dutch 'Ticket For Tibet' festival which will be in Amsterdam this Sunday.
KANE enters the Dutch Top 100 on the number two position with their new single 'Shot of a gun' . And so we get a unique situation where a single on which KANE guitarist Van Leeuwen collaborates takes the number one position and his band, which were going for gold once again, has to be satisfied with the number two position.

KANE in de D&O jukebox

Via onze KANEpromoladies myspace kregen we van Dorien (niet onze maar een van onze myspace vriendinnetjes) deze mail: wou toch even meedelen dat deze morgen in de ochtendshow van Deckers & Ornelis op Q-music gezegd werd dat KANE volgende week vrijdag (25 april) te gast is in de Deckers & Ornelis jukebox .
Dat word dus weer vroeg opstaan voor de heren uit het Noorden en de Belgische fans 'Catwalk criminal' en 'Shot of a gun' in een mooie akoestische set te schenken… wij kunnen al niet wachten om op te staan met KANE ;)

Just got mail on our KANEpromoladies myspace from Dorien (no not my sexy sidekick but one of our myspace friends): just wanted to inform you ladies the guys from KANE are scheduled to appear on the Deckers & Ornelis morning show on Qmusic next Friday the 25th of April.
And again an early rise for Dinand and Dennis (hence morning show) and a chance to give the Belgian fans an exclusive acoustic set of 'Catwalk criminal' and 'Shot of a gun' … oeh we can't wait to wake up with KANE again ;)

Gelezen in de Telegraaf : Na Matthijs van Nieuwkerk en Ruud Gullit is het nu de beurt aan Dinand Woesthoff . De zanger mag één mannenglossy op de markt brengen. Woesthoff laat weinig los over de inhoud van de eenmalige uitgave, maar laat wel weten dat hij onlangs naar Madrid is gevlogen voor een interview. "De mensen die ik tot nu toe heb gevraagd willen allemaal graag meewerken", vertelde hij tijdens een interview met Ruud de Wild . "Het wordt helemaal te gek." Dinand becomes an editor

Read in Dutch newspaper de Telegraaf : Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and Ruud Gullit already did it and now it's Dinand Woesthoff turn. The lead singer of KANE gets the chance to be chief editor of his own magazine. Woesthoff doesn't share much about his magazine but did tell us he made a trip to Madrid for an interview. "Those who I already asked to collaborate on the magazine are very enthusiastic ", the singer mentioned in an interview with Dutch radio dj Ruud de Wild . "It's gonna be wicked." You can listen to the interview (in Dutch) Dinand had with Ruud on this link . The magazine will be available in Dutch stores from May.

KANE OP KONINGINNEDAG

Radio 538 organiseert ook dit jaar een groot feest op koninginnedag. Voor de achtste keer op rij staat het landelijke radiostation Radio 538 op het Amsterdamse Museumplein op woensdag 30 april van 12.00 tot 22.00 uur met een groot aantal topartiesten. Daarnaast zijn ook diverse deejay's van Radio 538 aanwezig, zoals Edwin Evers, Jeroen Nieuwenhuize, Lindo Duvall en Barry Paf.
Dit jaar betreden onder andere KANE , VanVelzen, I.O.S, Krezip, Gerard Joling, Nikki, Mêlee, Leaf, The Opposites en Alain Clark het podium. Alle optredens op het Museumplein zijn live te volgen via Radio 538. Ook is 's avonds om23.00 uur een compilatie van het Koninginnedagfeest te zien op RTL 5, gepresenteerd door Radio 538 DJ Frank Dane en zangeres EliZe.
Het feest wordt ieder jaar op het Amsterdamse Museumplein gehouden en trok vorig jaar bijna 300 duizend bezoekers. De line-up is nog niet compleet en de rest van het programma wordt binnenkort bekendgemaakt. Voor meer info kijk op de Radio 538 website.

KANE on the radio 538 stage

Like every year Dutch Radio 538 will organize a huge party on Queens day in Amsterdam. For the eight time now party people can go nuts at radio 538 party stage on the Amsterdam Museum square on Wednesday the 30th of April from 12:00 until 22:00 to the beats of some well-known musical artists. In addition several dj's of radio 538 like Edwin Evers, Jeroen Nieuwenhuize, Lindo Duvall and Barry Paf will make an appearance that same day.
This year performing artists on the 538 stage are KANE , VanVelzen, I.O.S, Krezip, Gerard Joling, Nikki, Mêlee, Leaf, The Opposites and Alain Clark. All performances from the Museum square stage will be broadcasted live on radio 538. At night there a chance to (re)view the performances as Dutch channel RTL 5 will screen a compilation show which will be presented by radio 538 DJ Frank Dane and singer EliZe.
This party is an annual celebration on the Amsterdam Museum square and is known for its huge capacity in party people (last year there were nearly 300.000 counted). The line-up isn't fully set yet, more names to be announced soon. For all info check the Radio 538 website.

Ze hadden het beloofd en ze houden ook woord… KANE zal deze zomer de Belgische (festival) podia onveilig maken met EVERYTHING YOU WANT . De eerste datum is al bekend: op vrijdag 1 augustus zal KANE op het Lokerse feesten festival staan. Tickets zijn NU al te koop via deze link . En hou ook die andere Belgische festivals in het oog want de kans is groot dat je daar Dinand en Co ook kan spotten ;)

Kane, Moke en Krezip treden op tijdens de uitreiking van de 3FM Awards 26 april in The Factory in Amsterdam. Dat heeft 3FM maandag meegedeeld. Vorige week maakte de popzender al bekend dat Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark en Racoon spelen op het jaarlijkse radiofeest. De 3FM Awards zijn de jaarlijkse radioprijzen voor de beste Nederlandse popacts en artiesten, gekozen door de luisteraar. Sinds 29 maart zijn 139.480 stemmen uitgebracht. Stemmen op de genomineerden kan nog tot en met vrijdag 25 april 12.00 uur via www.3fm.nl . De presentatie van de 3FM Awards is in handen van Giel Beelen, Eric Corton en Sander Lantinga. Het programma wordt live uitgezonden op 3FM, de VARA doet verslag voor televisie.

Dutch bands Kane, Moke and Krezip are to perform during the radio 3FM Awards show on the 26th of April at The Factory in Amsterdam. Radio 3FM announced this today. Only last week the radio station announced that Dutch bands Leaf, Voicst, Alain Clark and Racoon were scheduled to perform on their annual awards show. The 3FM Awards are the annual radio awards for best Dutch pop acts and -artists, chosen by the listeners of 3FM. From the 29th of March up until now the website of 3FM registered 139.480 votes. Votes can still be send in on the website until 12.00 o'clock Friday the 25th of April on the website www.3fm.nl . 3FM dj's Giel Beelen, Eric Corton and Sander Lantinga will host the 3FM Awards. Op de KANE hyves staat een nieuwe update van Dinand:
…tja… en dus zitten we hier in de morgen en gaan we op naar de 30 uur geen slaap, maar die cd afmaken hier in Manhattan. Twee jaar zijn we met onze bezigheidstherapie aan de slag gegaan; we zouden er wijzer uitkomen zei de dokter. Of dat zo is weet ik niet, maar wat zijn date en geode 2 jaar geweest! Dan nu een uurtje of 2, mag ik hopen, verwijderd van wat voor de Benelux de cd gaat zijn, is wat vreemd. Lekker vreemd. Vermoeiend vreemd ook.

KANE try-out tour

Met de release van het nieuwe album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT ' en het concert van KANE in de KUIP in het verschiet, heeft de band onlangs besloten een try-out tour ter voorbereiding op het concert in de KUIP te organiseren.
Daarvoor heeft KANE op verzoek van de vele fans besloten om verschillende podia in Nederland aan te doen. "De speciale one-off in het Paard van Troje op 23 april aanstaande bleek namelijk in zo'n razendsnel tempo uit te verkopen dat deze tour gewoonweg niet achterwege kon blijven", aldus zanger: Dinand Woesthoff. De try-outs vinden oa plaats in Paradiso, het Patronaat en de Mezz, kijk voor de volledige lijst op onze Tourdates pagina
De kaartverkoop van de try-out tour begint aanstaande zaterdag om 10.00 uur. De voorverkoopadressen zijn te vinden op de websites van de desbetreffende locaties. Daar is te zijner tijd ook meer informatie te vinden over de aanvangtijden van de verschillende concerten. Kaartjes kosten 25 euro per stuk plus servicekosten.
Het album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT' is vanaf vrijdag 9 mei verkrijgbaar.

KANE on tour in Holland

With the release of the new album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT ' and the KANE concert at de KUIP venue in a few months the band decided to do a try-out tour in order to be ready for their smash out concert at de KUIP.
At the request of several of their fans KANE decided to try-out at different venues in Holland. "The exclusive one-off try-out at the Paard van Troje venue on the 23th of April was sold out in a mather of hours so it was clear to us we had to go on a little tour", according to lead singer Dinand Woesthoff . The try-outs are - amongst other venues - at Paradiso, Patronaat and the Mezz, check out the Tourdates page for the full location list.
Ticket sales for the try-out tour kick off this Saturday at 10:00 local time. Check the venue websites on our Tourdates page where you'll be able to find more info in time. Tickets will cost 25 euro each except service costs.
The new album 'EVERYTHINGYOUWANT' will be in stores from Friday the 9th of May.

Gelezen op de site van Gerard :Ter promotie van de nieuwe CD EVERYTHINGYOUWANT zal Kane in mei of juni een concert geven voor kijkers van de televisiezender TMF. Kaarten voor de showcase worden via www.tmf.nl en in het programma 'Re:action' weggegeven. Daarnaast kunnen mensen kaarten winnen door al voor 6 mei de nieuwe CD te bestellen bij de Free Record Shop .
